"You know during the day you can almost forget they're here but at night... This is why I never leave the boat." Boun says as the group is passing through an area filled with Druun.
"Pretty smart for a kid." Alexis says as she smiles at Boun.
"What are Druun anyways?" Boun asks.
"A plague. Born from human discord. They've always been here. Waiting for a moment of weakness to attack. They're like the opposite of dragons. Instead of bringing water and life to the world they're like a relentless fire that consumes everything in its wake until there's nothing left except ash and stone." Sisu says.
"They took my family." Boun says.
"They took mine too." Sisu says sadly as Alexis looks at her before the group drops flowers into the water.
"Looks like we're here." Raya says as the group arrives at the land of the talon tribe.
"So where are you guys heading after Talon? I might be heading there too. I mean for a fee of course." Boun says.
"Yeah. Talon may look nice but it's a hotspot for pickpockets and con artists." Raya says.
"Lucky for me. Empty pockets!" Sisu says as Alexis chuckles.
"Okay so here's the good news. I know where the gem piece is. The bad news? It's being held by the notorious Chief of Talon. Dang Hai. What Dang Hai lacks in style he makes up in mean." Raya says.
"Gotcha. Now we're just gonna have to turn up the charm. Let's go get him a gift." Sisu says happily.
"Sisu I think maybe it's safer for you to stay here on the boat. Without you we can't put the gem back together." Raya says.
"We know you want to help but this is for the best. I'll stay too Raya. One in one out. It'll be safer that way." Alexis says.
"I'll be back before you know it." Raya says.
"If you see any hungry faces send 'em my way." Boun says as Raya leaves.
*Timeskip*
"Okay I got some more water for the boat. Where's Sisu?" Alexis asks as she returns to the boat holding containers with water and sees Sisu is gone.
"Uh she went shopping." Boun says.
"She did what!? Okay Boun stay here. I'll be back with Sisu." Alexis says as she runs off.
*Timeskip*
"Sisu! Sisu!" Alexis says as she is walking in wolf form while sniffing around for Sisu before spotting Sisu with an old woman at a gate before heading over and pulling Sisu away from some angry Druun.
"Hey!" The elderly woman shouts as Alexis growls and grabs the gem from her before jumping in front of Sisu.
"Alexis!" Sisu shouts happily.
"Sisu get on my back now!" Alexis says angrily.
"Don't need to tell me twice." Sisu says as she gets on Alexis's back before Alexis bolts away from the Druun and angry people.
"Hold on to this and do not let it go under any reason. Also we told you to stay at the boat!" Alexis says angrily as she is running while giving Sisu the gem.
"Sorry!" Sisu shouts as fog begins to appear.
"Fog?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah. That was my brother Jagan's magic." Sisu says as Alexis sees Raya on the boat and jumps on board.
"That was not easy. Raya we got the gem. Whoa!" Alexis says as she dodges a piece of fruit before seeing a baby and three monkeys.
"Alexis is a wolf!?" Boan asks in shock.
"And you brought along a baby and three monkeys?" Alexis asks in surprise.
"What can I say? They helped me. Either way that's another one down. All right Captain Boun next stop Spine..." Raya says.
*Timeskip*
"Thanks Alexis for saving me earlier." Sisu says as she later comes over to Alexis on the boat as everyone else is asleep.
"No worries Sisu." Alexis says.
"I just can't believe it. That old lady was really gonna hurt me." Sisu says in shock.
"That's just how the world is. Some people are just that way and some are forced that way. Either way you know why Raya and i are reluctant to trust others now." Alexis says.
"I don't think you're weird you know." Sisu says.
"Huh?" Alexis asks as she looks at Sisu.
"Back when we met. You said you thought I thought you were weird. You're not weird. Least not to me. I was staring because I honestly think you're one of the coolest people I ever met. But you let off a cold and untrusting exterior. Why?" Sisu asks.
"I lost my family at a young age Sisu. Not because of the Druun but because people can be cruel. I have only ever really trusted Raya since... I won't fight for or protect another unless I care about them. I done lost people I cared about once. I don't want that again." Alexis says sadly.
"You care about me?" Sisu asks curiously.
"Well yeah. I mean we're friends aren't we?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah. We are... I really like you." Sisu says as Alexis blushes and smiles.
"I like you too Sisu. We should get some sleep." Alexis says.
