"So tell me mama please why you be drinking all the time?
Does all the pain he brought you still linger in your mind?
Cause pain still lingers on mine." -J.Cole

Two weeks later.
Keandra POV

With everything going on in the past couple of weeks. From school, to work, to looking for Nashon.. I haven't really gotten the opportunity to sit down and talk to my dad and brother.

Knock! Knock!
My thoughts were interrupted by the knocking on the door. Bray was taking a shower so I was the only one downstairs. I got up to get the door thinking it was my dad and Jayden but instead it was an older looking lady who was brown skinned with long gray hair in her black. She had a thin frame and a little girl they both looked worried.
"Uh hi. Is Bray home?" The lady said.
"Yes mam." I said opening the door wider so she could step in. They did and we sat on the couch.
"You're Naunie?" She asked. I was surprised that she knew my name.
"Yes." I answered.
"I'm Tanya. Brays mom." She said extending her hand to me. I shook it.
"Nice to meet you." I said and smiled." And what's your name?" I asked the little girl and do you know that she had the nerve to roll her eyes at me.
"Oh no mam. You better straighten up before I pop the shit out of you." His mom answered.
"Micah." She answered. I was praying to myself that this wasn't his child.
After a few more minutes of waiting Bray came down the stairs with nothing but sweats on.

"Uncle Bray!"The little girl yelled running and jumping in his arms. That kill my assumptions but I was happy.
"Hey baby." He said kissing her forehead while walking over to us. "Hey ma." He kissed her cheek then sat next to me.
"Hey son." She said.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Your sister. She is back on that stuff and asked me to watch Micah for a little while and then..." She started then looked at the little girl.
"Go play for me baby. So me and Grandma can talk." Bray said letting the little girl off his lap. She ran up the stairs.
"She never came back." She finished. He shook his head.
"But I am tired baby. I just need a few weeks. Can you keep her for me? If she comes by to get her I'll tell her she's staying with you."
"Yeah ma. Are you sure you don't want to stay here too?" She looked like she wanted to say yes. It's plenty of rooms. 10 to be exact.
"Nah baby. I wouldn't want to crowd you." She said smiling. "Plus I don't want to interfere with process of giving me other grandkids." She said smiling at me. I damn near choked on air.

"Oh no mam. We are just friends. Plus I am reconnecting with my dad and I think it's best I move in with them." I said obviously catching Bray off guard.
"Ima go check on Micah." He said. Once he was up the stairs she turned to me.
"I don't blame you for wanting to be with your family. Being with a man like my son isn't easy. Trust me I know his dad was into that stuff too." Man like her son? Into what stuff? I know Brays into stuff but I never really ask.
"But by the way he talks about you. I can tell he really cares." She said. That truly made me feel good.
"Well I think you should really consider moving in with him. It's gets lonely around here." She shook her head and smiled before standing up.
"Well me and Micah are going to get going. I'm going to get her things and bring her back over a little later." She said bringing me into a hug.
"It was really nice meeting you." I said. "Same to you." She replied.
"Micah! Let's go!" She called and the little girl came running down the stairs without Bray.
She waved and I let them out.

My phone vibrated in my pocket.
On our way.
It was Jayden.
I didn't respond just headed up the steps. When I got to Brays room he was laying on the bed texting.
"Uh my dad and brother are on their way." I said sitting at the foot of the bed.
"Cool." He dryly responded still texting. Then he got up and threw on a wife beater and some slides.
"Where you going?" I asked as I watched him grab his phone and wallet.
"Out." And with that he left. Even though we aren't together that struck a nerve. Like I've been through this way too much with Nashon.
