In my opinion being braindead is the same as dying.
The mistake this man made was disregarding the fact that Gardevoir can use many telepathic moves.
The move that Gardevoir used was teleport
Now, as a reminder.
Gardevoir's get easily attached to their own trainers, all you have to do is accept them, and nothing bad will happen to you
Stay safe out there, don't allow yourself to get killed by them.
