Losing someone was never always easy. It eats at you until you can't grieve anymore, can't cry anymore, can't feel emotions anymore. But losing a loved one, or a family member can hit real deep.

And in Rick's case, it hit so deep that it controlled his emotions, made him feel not himself anymore. The anger that was built up in himself was ready to let loose.

It changed him.

-

No one moved as we all grieved Lori's sudden pasing. Glenn continued to comfort Maggie, Hershel and Beth attended to the newborn.

I was on my knees, my legs too wobbly to stand. I sat there, on my knees, on the hard floor for a while now, while Daryl tried to bring Rick back from his invading thoughts and hidden anger.

"Rick" Daryl waved his hand in Rick's face trying to bring him back to reality, "Rick"

"We got anything a baby can eat?" Beth asked no one in particular. "The good news is she's healthy" Hershel said which gave some of us hope inside.

Daryl walked back to Hershel, Beth, Maggie, And Glenn after failing to get Rick's attention, But not before looking over at me, hunched on my knees, head facing the floor as he passed, I could feel his stare. But I never looked back.

Hershel continued, "But she needs formula, And soon or she won't survive" That sentence alone caused me to look up from the ground to the little girl in Beth's arms.

And that sentence got Daryl's attention as well, "No. No way, Not her" He slung his crossbow over his shoulder, "We ain't losing nobody else, I'm going for a run" He turned around, heading for his bike. "I'll back you up." Glenn said as he followed after Daryl.

Beth butted in after handing the little girl to her dad, "I'll go too"

Daryl turned around to face Beth, "Nah, think where we're going Beth." She only sighed after being told she couldn't come, "Kid just lost his mom, Dad ain't doing so hot"

She looked at him and nodded, understanding what she was being told to do, "I'll look out for him"

Daryl nodded back before turning back around, "Glenn, Maggie, Vámonos!" He yelled to the couple.

But It wasn't long before I heard Rick stand up. I looked back to him as he walked past me towards his dropped axe on the floor. He picked it up swiftly before turning back around and walking to the sliding door. I stood up fast, "Rick!"

Everyone looked in my direction as Rick disappeared through the sliding door.

"Come on, We're gonna lose the light!" Daryl yelled again to Maggie and Glenn.

The rev of Daryl's motorcycle brought my attention over to him and Maggie as they rode out to the front gate.

Everyone started walking back to the Sliding door, and I didn't follow until everyone was ahead.

I closed the door behind me before making my way down to the table area while the others talked about Rick's issues and the newborn child. I walked to the perch steps and sat down. Hiding my bloody hands between my thighs.

I tuned everyone out because I couldn't handle listening, it just brought back those memories of Lori's screams of pain, or the silence as I pulled the baby girl out, no cries, just silence..

It wasn't until I heard a motorcycle outside that I realized how long I was zoned out for. Daryl and Maggie rushed in with a bad full of what I believed was formula, along with some materials for a baby.

Maggie came in, running straight to Beth and Hershel, Daryl followed after placing down the bag he carried in.

"How's she doing?". Beth only nodded to him, telling him she eas alright. Daryl took her from Beth while she went to make the formula.
