I Groaned. Rolling onto my side from in my make-shift bed, trying to get comfortable. My sobbing episode from the night before left my cheeks red and puffy even after waking up.

My brain had finally figured something out as I sat up, how on earth did I make it to my bed? I hated to admit it but there was only one reason, Daryl Dixon himself.

I heard commotion from down below in the cafeteria, the little light from the foggy windows peeked through letting me know it was a new day.

My back hurt like hell so I had cracked it before making my day down to the cafeteria seeing the group around at the tables eating what I assumed was breakfast.

Beth was the first to spot me awake, "Morning Jayya" Her voice was soft but sounded exhausted, I couldn't blame her, we all had a rough day yesterday.

Half of the groups attention was on me as I looked to the pot of food and grabbed myself a bowl, "Morning" I responded, not looking up from filling my bowl.

The room stayed quiet, all but the little clangs of the plastic spoons against the bowls as I walked over to a metal fence to the right of Oscar, leaning against it and started eating.

The silence didn't last long because I had heard the clang of Rick's boots as he made his way to the metal gate that opened up to the rundown hallway. He slowly pushed it open getting everyone's attention, "Everyone okay?"

No one had the guts to respond until Maggie did for us, "Yeah, we are"

He had only given her a small nod, walking up to Carl, "What about you?" Hershel popped the question everyone had thought.

"I cleared out the boiler block" I had to admit I was impressed but the grief he was taking in was most of it. I should know.

"How many were there?" Daryl asked but Rick had to think of a response, "I don't know, a dozen, two dozen" He took a small step back.

"I had to get back, check on Carl" He stepped up to Carl patting his back before turning around to walk back out again.

I had stood up straight from the gate I was leaning against to talk to him but Glenn had beat me to it, "Rick, we can Handle taking out the bodies"

"You don't have to" Glenn finished but Rick spoke up right after, "No, I do"

Glenn sighed while Rick walked up to Face Daryl and Me, Avoiding eye contact with Oscar, "Everyone have a gun and a knife?"

"Yea, we're runnin' low on ammo though" Daryl responded, "Maggie and me were planning on making a run this afternoon" Glenn added on, "Found a phone book with some places we can hit, look for bullets and formula."

I had thought about going with, It was about time I left this prison, let alone the gates. Should talk with them both on that.

"We cleared out the generator room" Daryl butted in. What in the hell did I miss when I slept in? "Axel's there trying to fix it, In case of emergency, We're gonna sweep the lower levels as well" He finished. Rick gave a small nod and a quiet, 'Good, Good' Before swiftly turning around and heading back to the door he came in from.

"Rick" Hershel had tried to stop his movement but it failed as he closed the metal gate and walked off. The old man let out a sigh, looking down to his bowl.

It wasn't long before everyone had basically finished breakfast, a couple people dropping off their bowls amd making their way to go do God knows what, I did however take notice in Hershel walking in the direction Rick had gone.

I spotted Glenn and Maggie getting ready for the run, "You guys need an extra set of hands?" I questioned, grabbing a couple more knives off the table in front of me, placing then in my empty holsters.
