It was a beautiful rare event today. Tutor had absolutely nothing scheduled. No photoshoots, no interviews, no acting classes, no workshops, no filming. A whole empty box in his DMD calendar. Peace and quiet and time to clean his dirty apartment, do much needed laundry and maybe get to that stack of video games he kept buying but not playing.
He really needed to start cleaning his apartment though. It was a pig-sty. Just some vacuuming, mopping, and maybe get to the walls.
Tutor looked at his phone first but no notifications came across. That was odd.
But there was housework to be done so he set down his phone. The place was looking almost livable now. His dishes were cleaned, laundry was drying out on his balcony. Maybe he should work on the bathroom. Just another check of his phone in the meantime.
Still no word. Very strange.
The toilet was cleaned, the floors mopped, and finally that grout was shining. Tutor couldn't help but be proud of the before and after. This was more like it. It was definitely his dirty room that was messing with him.
Not even a ping on his phone still?
Well maybe just a good cleaning of his gaming computer. I mean if he was going to game later he really should take care of the dust on the keyboard and make sure his monitor was clean. That was exactly what needed. Some may call him a neat freak, but he just liked everything in order.
Speaking of order, was his phone working? Maybe it was running out charge? Nope it was at 80%. Maybe it was on silent? That wouldn't stop notifications pushing through though.
Line Messenger was working too, the DMD chat was chaos as usual. Net and James were fighting on it. Or flirting. He could never tell. Nat was flooding the chat with stickers rating the fight-flirt comments. Yim was nowhere in the slew of comments. What a mess. He clicked off, but he was assured Line was not down for maintenance.
The sun was darkening so he ordered delivery and set about picking a game from the stack. A fighting game? Zombies? A mystery RPG? None of them seemed to be just right.
He started to pace his room instead. Maybe he was just hungry. The noddles arrived and Tutor ate while flipping through Netflix. 'Pyraminds and Aliens Explained' hmmm Yim would like this show. Maybe he's already watched it. Tutor should probably mention it to him.
Okay he admitted it. It was out of character from Yim not to have messaged him. Usually if they were apart he was bombarded with at least 10 messages a day.
They ranged from:
Food reviews "This restaurant is cheap and they let me order extra sauce. 10/10" Blurry photo of said sauce.
Odd photos. Like the one time Yim sent him a photo of a rock with the caption "Look at this frog-shaped rock. Maybe it was a frog previously."
Or just "Do you ever get chills after your foot falls asleep? That's weird isn't it."
It was always unclear whether Yim wanted a response or if Line was just a void he screamed into. Tutor decided usually on just sending one word comments or a sticker. Nothing too much. Yim was already doing enough.
Tutor thought back and he didn't think there had been a day that Yim never messaged him. Or called.
Maybe he was sick? No that wouldn't have stopped Yim. When he was sick once and the messages just increased. Instead of restaurant reviews it was cough syrup reviews.
Maybe he was with other friends? Doubtful. Yim always invited Tutor along if he hung out anywhere. And Tutor drove him most places.
Tutor decided to not dwell it. He definitely hadn't dwelled on it at all already. He didn't think of him much at all. I mean really he wasn't thinking of him at all this whole day. He had other things to do. Besides he had that stack of games and it was already 10:00pm.
