I can smell flowers. My vision is hazy, but I can see a bright light.
I've never been too religious, and I dropped religion all together after the vampire class took over. But judging from the flowery scent and the bright white lights, I must be in Heaven.
My family is waiting for me, I'm sure of it.
I can finally see Grace and her little pink fuzzy hat.
I can finally see the smirk my dad gives me when I show off my drawings.
I can finally hear my mother's voice calling "Oh Iris, see? Everything turned out ok."But that isn't what I got.
That isn't what I woke up to.
My peace has not yet come, and my family continues to wait for me.
As my eyes adjust to the brightness that once was heaven, it occurs to me that Im very simply in a hospital room.
I didn't know hospitals still existed.
And that's when I noticed the handcuffs.
My leg was wrapped in a bandage, and my arm had an IV attached. I flinched at the sight. I hate needles.
At the end of my arm, a metal handcuff wraps around my wrist and binds me to the bed.
I start thrashing around, the IV yanks itself out of my arm and falls to the floor, drops of blood start spooling up out of my arm. I yelp in pain.
Suddenly a man appears beside me, his tall and slender build towers beside me.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. I would've thought you'd be calmer seeing as how we're taking care of you."
"You monster. Just kill me now. Please. Please." Tears were falling down my cheeks and I choked on my breath.
He reached over and placed his hand on my head. I assumed it was to tilt my head so that my neck was exposed. I can only hope that he hears my plea and takes enough to kill me.
He starts laughing.
