Red-shell~(Underswap! Papyrus x Fem! Reader)

 "on your left, babe." Papyrus said with a smirk.

 "I swear to Toriel if you blue-shell me I am going to scream."

 Clutching the Wii remote, you swerved to your side. It was almost as if you were actually trying to drive.

 "ok, ok, i won't blue-shell you. i'll just..."

 His character ran into a brightly-colored mystery box. The music of it was almost a bit too loud, or maybe that was your brewing anxiety talking.

 It was a goddamn red-shell.

 "Don't. You. Dare." you said, trying to make your voice as serious as possible.

"hey, i'm keeping my word. i said i wouldn't blue-shell you."

 It was too late, the shell was already making its way toward your kart.

 "No, no, no, no, no, no, no!!!!"

'Crack!'

"FUCK!" you exclaimed. "C'mon! That's so not fair!"

"all's fair in mario kart wii, hun." he chuckled softly.

'Swoosh!'

 And, now he was in front of you. Great.

 You huffed, crossing your arms as he drove through the finish line. Standing up, he did a triumphant victory bow. In a mixture of annoyance and a tinge of sadness, you sighed. This made him alert.

 "you okay, honey?"

 The room was filled with the music of the game and nothing more. There was no more playful teasing or excessive swearing. It was just... quiet.

"(y/n)?"

Shaking your head, you began to speak. "Sorry, sorry...I'm being childish. Good game, love."

You grabbed a few sweets from the table and started for your shared bedroom.

"hey, where are you go-"

"I'm going to go lay down. I'm... not feeling well."

 You walked faster, hoping he wouldn't follow you.

 Locking it beforehand, you quietly shut the door. You dumped the sweets on your nightstand, then face-planted into the pillows.

'Knock, knock!'

"babe, can you let me in?" he asked softly.

 It took a few minutes, but you conceded and let him in. 

 The bedroom was dark, the only light source was coming from outside the door. Papyrus looked at you with soft, gentle eyes. 

 His hand pushed a few pieces of hair behind your ear, then made its way to your cheek.

 With closed eyes, you leaned into his touch. "Babe," you began, your voice already cracking a little. "I'm sorry."

If he had eyebrows, they'd show that he was really confused.

 "'s nothing to be all sad and sorry over. come here..."

 "Okay..."

 You hugged him tightly, burying your face in his orange hoodie.

"there, there. i'm not angry or anything. you just needed a bit to calm down, yeah?"

 You nodded as you started to calm down. His hand gently stroked your hair, the other one was on the small of your back.

 "how about we play something else? we could work on our animal crossing island if you want."

 Smiling softly, you replied with a "Sure."

 It wasn't much of an answer, but hell. He didn't really care all that much. All he cared about is that you were safe and happy.

 "By the way," you grinned. "I'm still not paying off your debt to Tom Nook."

  He shook his head with a smile. "mhm, sure."
