Investigation (Pt. 2)

Scott's Pov. (Still)

We stared at Martyn, wondering who on earth responded to his question of someone being there.

"Hey is that person still there?" A completely different voice said.

"Yes! Don't worry, we are here." Martyn responded after a few seconds.

"Oh thank god some others to help, anyways, can you guys help? We're stuck here in this place and theres fire down here." The first voice said, waiting for a response.

"We will! Guys, go get some rope from inside to help them." Owen said instead of Martyn, and we all listened.

I was the first to run back inside with all of my energy, but as soon as I took one step inside. All that energy all of a sudden turned into tiredness. I felt, like if all my energy was taken from me. I froze in place during that, although Martyn and Krow ran to get rope and tell the other rats. Bek and El came over to me, with conserning faces.

"You ok Scott?" Bek asked me, as she slowed down when seeing me.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine..." I said, playing it off as if nothing happened.

"You don't seem fine, are you sure?" El then spoke, with a hint of worry in her voice.

"Don't worry about me, just help get rope and tell the others about the guests in the chimney." I spoke, the two seemed reluctant to leave me be, but they soon did, running off to get any bits of rope they had laying around.

I then slowly made my way to my storage, checking for any bits of rope. I luckily found 4 rope in a chest, and grabbed them and continued searching. I didn't find anymore sadly, but I figured that it was a ok amount. I walked back to the balcony, all of a sudden, I had another one of those 'burst of energy' come to me. As if I had just gained back all that energy I had previously lost.

I then ran super fast back to the chimney, quickly attempting to climb fast up as I saw a few other rats like Will struggling to get up. Clearly all the others now knew. I slid down a few times, but the rats clearly saw that I was going quick to get to the top. Eventually, after a few bits of sliding, I arrived at the top. Seeing Owen look down and putting down some rope for them.

"Scott! Please tell me you have some rope! We need more and now. Martyn fell down and could die and lose a life." He asked, scared and worried for the rat.

"I've got a few, but not alot." I responded, handing him the 4 rope I had found.

He then placed them, shouting down something I couldn't catch, but I assumed was along the lines of 'was that enough?'.

"No! It wasn't." The second voice, which I now knew was a crow, responded.

"Scott, could you go down to the rats struggling to get up to give you the rope they have to you? You clearly have proven you can get up here easily." Owen asked me.

[Part 3 is coming and most likely will be the longest one out of all these so far.
