What It Takes to Fall In Love

Chapter 3

Alright class, please settle down!"

"Lets begin! Please sit down!"

We all took our seats and pulled out our notebooks. Some kids in my class pretended to do the warm up while others like me actually did it.

"Who would like to volunteer and show us their answer on the board?" Asked my teacher Mr. Syke.

Everybody ducked their heads. "Ms. Riley, why don't you go up to the board." My head snapped up at Mr. Syke. "Okay" I muttered. I got up from my seat and walked to the board. The problem was easy and I did it within a few seconds and walked back to my seat. The class was silent for a while my teacher looked at my answer.

"That's correct."

He seemed almost shocked. Did I seem that dumb to him? Ouch! My thoughts were interrupted as someone taped on my shoulder. I turned around to see Margaux holding up a sign that said "NERD" on it. I rolled my eyes and turned back around.

I then wrote on my notebook "SLUT" and turned around for her to see it. Her jaw dropped to the 'o' shape. That shut her up.
