I turned to the house, it was a new house, well a new house for me. I picked up my bags and moved forward. If it was going to be a time it would be now. I knocked on the door, tightening the grip on my bags. I considered the time it would take me to run away but it was too late. The door swung open and there stood my brother. He was dressed in a navy blazar and red striped tie which matched the blazer's piping. His hair brushed to one side of his face.

"Claudine." Sebastian said, surprised. "What are you doing here?" I guess our father never told him.

"Father wanted me to come here. in his words 'Becoming a person in music isn't a real job for a woman' " I informed Sebastian who silently laughed.

"Sounds like him" He commented before stepping aside to let me inside of the ridiculously large house. "Your room is upstairs, first door on the left" Sebastian told me, closing the door. I nodded and made my way up the elegant staircase.

Me and Sebastian never got along. Well considering our father had an affair with Sebastian's mom and not tell both his and my mom until after we were born, it made sense. And now I was here because of my mother's death my only legal guardian was my father. My mom never legally divorced our father since she needed the money but when he moved from France last year, I found out my mom was hiding medical bills from me and she was near death.

I opened the door to my new permanent room. It was bland: white walls, hardboard floors, a few shelves, bay window, a single bed and closet. I put my bags down and started to just unpack essential stuff like that one picture of me and mom, a phone charger and a few pieces of clothing.

I fell back onto my bed. This was my life now, I would be sent to some shitty public school without an arts program while my brother got to go to some fancy private school, where he was head of their show choir. I had to get used to not being able to walk into school feeling good but tired and drowsy.

I woke up and threw on some clothing, Sebastian had recommend a local coffee shop. I could spend my week there before I was dropped into school. The Lima Bean. I opened the door, the sounds of people chatting filling my ears. I stood in the line of about five people. The two people infront of me were on about New York. One was taller than the other, he had chestnut hair and the other smaller guy had from what it seemed like a head full of hair gel.

As I got closer to the front desk, I got more stressed. Yes, I spoke a bit of English but I was seriously finding it hard to understand the options that I was being given. I tapped on one of the two boy's shoulder in front of me. His head snapped round.

"Excuse me, do you mind explaining what a-" I looked at the board, "Mo-mocha latte is?" I looked back at the guy. His skin was pale which matched his pale blue eyes.

"Oh it's like hot chocolate and a coffee put together," He replied.

"Thank you ?" I said, implying I was asking for his name.

"Kurt. Kurt Hummel and this my boyfriend, Blaine Anderson" He answered, gesturing to the smaller guy next to him who had now turned around. "And you are?"

"Claudine. Claude for short"

I reached my new home. Kurt and Blaine seemed like cool people, I had sat down with them and we all talked for a bit. Kurt had given me his phone number in case I was lost in town. I sat at the desk in my room, trying to find the nearest music shop. I heard a knock at my door.

"Come in" I raised my voice. There entered a guy. He looked about in his mid 60s and definitely a rip off of Alfred The Butler.

"Miss Claudine, your presence is required downstairs" He said, then left me with my thoughts. How rich were these people?

"Ahh Claudine," Sebastian's mom, Layla, greeted me. "Let me take you to your father"

I was led to some extravagant office. There was my father sitting down at his desk.

"Claudine, as you know, we Smythes have a high standard. I would prefer to keep this standard. At your school I have some chaperones to keep in check on you. Know that whatever you do, will be reported to me. Now get back to whatever you were doing" He said, spinning round in his office chair.

I can't wait
