3rd Person POV

kamari didn't know where he went, she didn't know what he was doing but she worried about him. she worried that he had been pushed to the edge and there was no coming back. that was her fear and she sighed, she walked out of her room and back to the living room

"why defend him kam?" donna asked the girl and kamari scoffed under her breathe

"how would he know anything that happened to you? he didn't know about garth or your addiction or about ellis. the only thing he knew was rachels powers and all of a sudden, you make it seem that since he almost died at the hands of your mortal enemy, he's the problem and making him feel more like an outcast was your plan" she ranted and donna looked at the ground with dawn. kory had never seen the girl so angry before and especially at something like that

"you didn't say anything before he left" hank scoffed and she turned her head to him

"you didn't let me, you all think everything is his fault because he does something. he wants to prove his worth and the fact that he deserves to be here after you all treat him like some kind of outcast and pain in the ass" she exclaimed

"he was with you the whole night?" dawn asked and kamari nodded

"he didn't want to be alone, look I know he may seem like an asshole and like all he cares about is himself but he almost died. he fell about 100 to 200 feet above ground and you all think he had the time to torture you and remind you of the shitty life you had" she said and she looked down at the dart in her hand. kory noticed it

"he couldn't have gotten this either, this is my moms. they would've had to work with her to get this and we all know that my mother would not have let jason one foot within her range without killing him and putting him through the most pain she could ever think about" kamari said and she let her vines wrap around the dart as it snapped and she took the poison into the vines, it didn't affect her at all.

"I'm going to go find him and try to fix the mess that you made because you couldn't think like a team or care about someone the way a team should" kamari said and they all stared as she walked off. kamari was young but she was bold and she cared.

she cared about the world and her friends and her family. kamari wasn't someone who let herself be walked over, she wasn't someone who let people think they were better then her because they were older and had more experience.

she had one thought on her mind and she walked to her room. she closed the door and fell on her bed. she hated that she didn't know where jason was and what he was doing. she hated that jason didn't stay and come to her because he didn't know who to trust. he didn't know who to listen to or who to focus on and it was all too much.

for her, for him, for the world. if kamari could change one thing it would how the world is and how they treat people who never had anything good in their lives. kamari didn't have any good, she grew up with a super villain and their group. she grew up believing that there was no good in the world and if there was, it was destroyed by people who held anger and pain and hurt in their body and minds

kamari wanted to be good, she believed in the good and the safe and the caring. she believed that the world could be good because there was good people , but they hid and they acted like they didn't exist due to the fear of having to deal with the world and what it would do to them and people like them.

so when kamari stayed in her room, angry at the world and herself and the people around her. she didn't know what to do or what to think because it all hurt too much. it all hurt her more then it should and when it hurt , it didn't go away. it stayed like an angry festering fear or hurt and pain.

there was a knock on the door and she got up to open it. her vines were spread through the room and she didn't bother to clean them up. it was annoying to clean them up because they just went back to her hands and her body. she had green marks all of her body, her arms and legs but it didn't matter because no one really cared

"you're safe" she said as she opened the door and saw jason

"you stood up for me" he said and she nodded as he walked in and she closed the door

"I did" she exclaimed

"why?" he asked her and she shrugged

"why would I let them think it was you when you had absolutely nothing to do with it at all?" she stated and he shrugged

"no one ever stands up for me, they all think I'm some sort of angry teenager that only wants to hurt people" he told her and she sat down as he sat with her

"I know and I know the feeling, you're hurt jason. you're anger and hurt and you want someone to see that but you would never do that to someone. you would never remind them of how bad their life used to be because you would hate if someone did that to you. where did you go anyways?" she asked and he sighed

"nowhere I'm okay now" he told her and she hugged him as he hugged her back. she was just happy that he was safe
