Kalen stops replying to Y/N, not liking the way that it's speaking to him.

He goes for a walk to clear his head, taking in the scenery around him. In the distance, as he walks, he sees a feminine figure struggling to hang a banner up, and decides to help.

"Excuse me, miss, do you need any help with that?"

Wolf turns around and looks at Kalen.

"Oh, damn, Wolf, sorry, I..."

"It's okay."

Kalen takes a look at the banner.

"So, the town is having a beauty contest and it's open to all genders, huh?" He asks.

"Yeah!" Wolf beams. "And Jade is joining! I really hope she wins!"

"Are...you joining?" Kalen asks, as he hangs the banner for Wolf.

"Kalen, you know the answer to that."

"I know..."

"Thank you for the help! I...could've done it myself, though..."

Kalen just smiles.

"I'll be sure to text Jade my well wishes in the contest. Wolf, be sure that she knows that she can win this."

"Believe me, I'm trying to convince her!"

Kalen continues his walk, thinking about Y/N, about Jade, about the contest...

Until he bumps into Y/N on the streets during his walk.

"Hello, Kalen! Fancy meeting you here! On Strawberry Street, approximately 4 miles from your house!"

"Uh, yeah...wait, what?!"

"I'm kidding, silly! Did you hear about a beauty contest thingy that's happening? I'm joining it! I think I'm gonna win, don't you? Admit it, I'm pretty hot!"

Kalen feels trapped. He wants both of them to win, but he's currently mad at Y/N, so that affects his feelings.

"Well, I have a friend who's also joining it."

"What, this ASMR YouTuber Wolf again?"

Kalen laughs.

"No, no, definitely not. My friend Jade, actually. The girl at the table."

"Which girl?"

Kalen feels uncomfortable and awkward, unsure of how to approach the question.

"Well Y/N, I was mainly only attracted to your looks, and didn't want a romantic relationship with you but since you'd like to try it with me, I'd like to try it with you."

Kalen and Y/N hold hands and go back to Kalen's house, where Kalen burns them both some food.
