Prologue - Here we go!

Saturday, 12:34.

I walk out of my room and finish packing and labeling my things and load it in the moving truck and close it. " Sayonara, old house. " I said while getting in the car with my mom. She started the car and shifted to reverse to move out of the drive way, then shifted to drive to my future home. " Are you excited? " She said out of nowhere. "It's only another house but all to myself." I replied.

I thought about it. It's only another house, right? It didn't feel different at all knowing that I'm going to a different house because I was used to it. There was no reason for me to be excited there at all. It felt like I lived by myself because she worked day and night so by the time she got home I was already asleep and when I woke up she had already gone to work.

She shook her head, " Stop being grumpy and look on the bright side, it's about time that you stopped moving place to place to with me dragging you behind me. "

I gave her a skeptical look, " You're very persuasive, no wonder your in a business. "

And before I knew it we had already arrived but I haven't even caught a glimpse of it. " Close your eyes and be a dear to hold this for me for a second." She shoved the bag into my hands double-checked and if I was closing my eyes before heading out. She sounded jittery and excited at the same time and I don't know why.

" You can come out of the car now and open your eye holes. " She giggled.

That's weird.

My mom never giggles. If anything she barely smiled at many jokes or laughed at jokes that weren't even funny which is even more weirder.

I got out of the car and slowly opened my eyes. The door was a bright red color that stood out against the white paint and made an extravagant appearance. It was a 2-story house for me? Are you kidding me? I knew she had good persuasive skills but not this good. I had so many questions like, why would she get this kind of house for me, not saying that I don't like it, but really?

"Do you like it?"

" Oh, my... " Was all I could say at that moment. I dropped the bag accidentally but my mother catches it in a blur. "Riley, don't do that!" She shouted.

I guess it had something more precious inside of it. "I'll take that as a yes."

"I need to see the inside," I put my hand out in front of her implying that I want the house keys," please?", I said with puppy eyes.

"Alrighty then", She pulled the keys out of her bag, " I'm going with you."

I don't think I have never seen my mother excited about a house which was also strange. She was even squealing, I mean, I have never heard the woman squeal in her entire life.

"Mom, are you okay?" I made a worried face.

"Yes, I'm fine." She said and she opened the door.

It looked just as good as the outside but better. "Nice." We soon started moving all the boxes in the house and I unpacked my clothes because I have school tomorrow. I will try not to be too overwhelmed like my mom because it's freaking me out.

I realized that I haven't seen my room.

I have a very big room now.

It's a spacious room and sure is big for me, had 3 windows and a     bathroom. Such big room. I twirled around and around until I got dizzy. I stopped twirling but I still felt like I was twirling. There's a weird vibe in this room though. Maybe it's just that I have to get used to it.
