THE ALARM SOUND OF DEATH~

I slammed my hand on the counter as my clock rang annoyingly loud. 'Why did I keep that clock again?' I thought. I lazily got up and opened my curtains I put up when I was unpacking when I moved here. I guess I should have just turned my lamp on instead of blinding myself like a idiot.

I cower away from the window. "THEY BURN!" I cried as I rubbed my eyes.

I flailed to my bathroom and washed my face with cold water so I could wake up and never feel such pain ever again. Well, until tomorrow. I get my clothes I picked out for school yesterday and take a short shower.

I did my morning routine, just like any other person would do.

I grabbed my bag full of school supplies and go out the door ignoring the trail of icky slime trailing towards the basement like it's any other day.

I ran outside making sure the coast was clear, acting like a spy, to get on the bike and go to school. Yes, this is what I get for living alone. It makes me a weirdo that acts like a spy.

I spot a opening in the trees and realize it is a trail. I quickly rode across the street, not before turning my head left and right to check if the coast is clear again and zoomed into the trail. As I'm going, I see a sign that says "Silver Wood Lake" and the other saying " Silver Wood High" with the trail parting into two paths.

'This might be even more better than I thought, ' I thought to myself.

I was surprised to see that there is a trail near my house that goes to the school to a lake. I decide to make a short trip there to get my mind off of the things that happened yesterday.

I make it to the lake, stop my bike and take in the scenery.

I breathe in the fresh air that smells like pine trees, the wind blows gently on my skin giving me goosebumps. The trees swayed back and forth slowly and the water calm. It reminds me of when my family would go on the trail together. I smiled to my self as I remembered that my dad would always tell this joke about --- wait a minute, I'm not thinking about this again. If anything this trip to the trail has put more things on my mind than take anything off. I just shook it off and continued to admire the lake.
