I'm especially thrilled to start sharing the conclusion in the Unbound series and update Fate's Revenge (Twisted Fate, Book 4) for those who have been asking for more. The pandemic gave me time to recharge, reset and refocus these efforts. Everyone who voted, commented and/or read these series motivated me to direct my energies to read the series over before plotting book six. A big, big thank you to everyone for their (mostly) polite nudges! I was inspired to plot over half the sixth novel finally!!! :) :) I will be doing a couple revisions to the final chapters of Revealed before posting; however, I wanted to share the book cover I just completed this evening. All it is missing is a tagline and a blurb for the book page, but I usually get a better feel for that mid-chapter at some point during the first and sixth chapters being written. Let me know what you think!
So excited to bring this series to a conclusion! Who knows? I may or may not be planning a spin-off. What would you think? It would veer away from the world of magic as a primary world and instead expand on the mythology we've just begun to reveal.
Once the first few chapters are flowing (I've completed a couple so far to introduce the last part of Nora's story), I will start posting. The reasons why are 1. If I post just one chapter, I'm going to have unhappy readers, and 2. The introduction of any story is more likely to change until I write past chapters eight or nine. If I don't finish the first few chapters by the time Fate's Revenge is done being posted (Twisted Fate, book 4), I will start to post book 5 in that series, which has never been read before! (See below the for covers of all the books in the series.)
And... One last update...
I don't know if anyone looked at my page posts, but I am excited for more than having the gift of being able to spend the holidays with my family. I was offered--and obviously accepted, given that it's worth mentioning not once but twice--an opportunity to join the Wattpad Creator's Program. It's exciting and motivating and... yeah. I spent weeks deciding whether to do this. Finally, I didn't have a reason not to when my course finished last Sunday, freeing my time to dedicate to ensuring I do what was asked--write. This means more frequent updates for everyone and new stories soon!
I have so many stories planned, but it is going to be bittersweet to leave Nora and Alyssa behind when these series conclude. As mentioned, I have a couple of ideas for a spinoff in each series, and I hate to leave the worlds entirely. If you have any suggestions--or just really want something to happen with a character/plot, pleeeassee leave a comment and let me know :)
So, as I've said before: Thank you for the motivation with comments and votes, and even more so for your patience with waiting for the next update. Since 2015, I have moved across provinces, switched careers, earned two designations (one with the top mark for students across Canada), started a third designation (1/4 finished!), accepted a promotion to run one of the eight branches for the brokerage I work for, bought my condo, managed to keep my now-14-year old daughter alive (and thriving in cheer/dance EVERY NIGHT!), lost two grandparents, both my parents (dad in 2017 and mom in 2020), and my uncle just last month. I don't share this for sympathy because I'm honestly in a good place, but I did want to provide a why for the sporadic and often infrequent updates. Throughout it all, I continued to write as a cathartic way to escape and make sense of everything; I simply haven't typed it out yet from where it was written longhand or decided to not share/save until these series have concluded.
The last couple of years have been chaotic and hard, and many times outright depressing. I'm ecstatic to have such a great start to 2023 that hopefully sets the tone for the New Year! :)
