Shadows of a New World

It was time for death to come for Nico di Angelo. He could feel its shadow creeping up on him, and Nico was going to die on his own terms. He wrote a letter for his boyfriend, Will Solace, and began to vanish into the darkness.

He ended up in Elysium, the afterlife for heroes. Nico smiled to himself, for even if he was dead, he at least died a hero. He walked through the streets towards the palace of Hades, waving at those he recognized.

Nico entered his father's throne room and stopped in front of the throne made of fused human bones. Hades sat on the throne, cold eyes on Nico. The demigod knelt, and said with his head bowed, "Father, I choose rebirth."

The child of Hades was surrounded by darkness, and a light appeared in the distance. He walked towards it, and Ayumu Fujiwara took his first breath.

AN: sorry it's so short, but this is the prologue. The next chapter will be longer, but I felt like Nico's new life is a good place to end this chapter. Comment ideas for ocs and I might add them later. I only own the idea, and it's probably not original. Bye!
