LYDIA MANEUVERED through the cafeteria silently, the voices of her peers melting into each other yet still remaining as loud as ever.

"Like the shirt Dooley," she complimented the boy quietly before walking past him with her tray in her hands. He nodded before whispering something to his friends, friends who Lydia had never seen before.

Before long she made it to her empty table, the school's designated kooky-table where only she sat.

"God, I hate lunch..."

Lydia's friend Claire grunted as she sat down beside her, glaring at the students who had no idea she existed.

Claire Carter was Lydia's best and only friend, being one of the two only ghosts on campus. Having died in the 80's after she slipped and drowned in the school's swimming pool, the poor junior was stuck having to live her afterlife at Mission Creek High. Ever since she found out Lydia could see her, she'd been glued to her side, talking to her when nobody else would.

"I hate it almost as much as I hate first period. And second. And third, and fourth..." The redhead continued to list off her periods, flexing her manicured fingers idly.

"Hey Claire, have you seen those three before?" Lydia nudged the air where Claire's arm was supposed to be and nodded at the three students standing with Dooley. "Next to Leo?"

Claire took her eyes off her nails and directed her attention at the teens. "Never," She clicked her tongue and looked back to Lydia. "I can go spy on 'em later if you want."

Lydia shook her head and stuck her spork in her pudding cup. "No it's fine, I was just curious."

The three gave her a weird feeling, and she didn't know why.

The Davenports watched as Lydia walked away, Leo waiting for her to be out of hearing range to finally speak. "That's Lydia Ito," he explained. "She's a little koo koo, but she's nice. One time she showed me her pebble collection!"

"Koo koo?" Bree raised a brow. The girl didn't seem too weird a few seconds ago.

"Total nutcase. She talks to herself a lot, people say she's a witch slash vampire slash demon." Adam gasped and Leo shrugged.

The three nodded and Leo continued giving his tour, pointing out the different cliques Mission Creek had to offer. With his experience and expertise, Leo was sure things would run smoothly for his three bionic buddies.

He couldn't have been further from the truth.

On their very first day of school, Adam, Bree and Chase had managed to replace the football players' spots in the popularity hierarchy before being kicked off only a few hours later. The next day the "Alpha Dogs" were back to normie-status like the rest of the school, only a little lower as a result of the embarrassing football game that went down.
