In Which The Forest Beholds

"Hangout".

Mayla decides to wear her purple hoodie that Kylo gave her, and her baggy jeans with her black belt instead of the dress. The dress was a bit too uncomfortable for her liking. She thinks about putting her hair up, but she decides against it, considering she's close to being late. She begins her walk, expecting to see Kylo there before her.

Mayla arrives to the cherry tree at 2:27.

Kylo isn't there yet, which is a bit unusual considering they're usually the first one there, but it's fine. Mayla can wait.

She takes her place in her usual spot, right in the middle of the tree, and starts reading the book she brought, called "No Longer Human".

She sees Kylo in the distance at 2:35. She's late.

"Hey, Mayla." Kylo says, which she sounds completely exhausted. Mayla just glares at her in response. "You're late.".

"Ah, sorry! I was pretty caught up in something... anything I can do to make it up to you?" Kylo says, flying up to the tree branch she always hangs down off of.

"No, not really. Just.. read with me, I guess. That's really all we can do."

"Okay!" Kylo responds, getting off of their branch and sitting right next to Mayla, to the point their shoulders are touching.

They read for about an hour, and then put the book away. They look at eachother for a few minutes.

"Hey, Mayla. When will you be ready to tell me who this crush of yours is?" Kylo has been really patient lately, but she's having a bit of a hard time, considering she really just wants to know who this crush of Mayla's even is.

Mayla's face turns a little pink at the surprising question. She didn't expect Kylo to ask about it again until atleast a month later. Mayla isn't even close to being ready to answer yet.

"I don't know. I guess you'll just need to wait and see." After Mayla says that, Kylo gets up and reaches her hand out to Mayla. "C'mon, I seen a really pretty spot in the flowers where we can watch the sunrise! Wouldn't you prefer doing that rather than talking about this new found crush of yours?". Kylo asks Mayla, a bit teasingly.

Mayla does a thinking gester with her hands. "Yeah, yeah, let's just go."

Mayla takes Kylo's hand and they intwine together. It stays like this for the whole night, until they finally decide to go back to the mansion, where they head to their designated rooms, planning to see eachother once again the next day.
