_Maddie_
I walked along Long Island beach, the wind blowing through my hair. I stood in the cold water, the wave pushing against my bare feet. It felt good, to finally be away from my orphanage. My parents died when I was 3 from a car accident. I stretched my hands out, letting the wind blow through my shirt, leaving it looking like a flag. I closed my eyes, felling a sense of protection. I always felt like that around water. All of a sudden a hand reached out and grabbed my foot. I screamed as I got pulled under, leaving my muffled voice the only thing to be heard.

"Percy! You probably scared her to death! You can't just pull people under the water!" Annabeth scolded. "Eh. She'll be fine." I said. She sighed. "You should've left it up to Grover." Annabeth said. Chiron trotted over to us, and looked down at the girl. "Annabeth is right Percy, what you did was not wise." I shrugged. "Whose her parent?" Annabeth asked Chiron. "Well, Percy gave her the power to breath when the girl was under water, so, I don't know. But, guessing by her clothing, and her black hair, she's the daughter of Poseidon. " Chiron guessed. "Wait, hold the phone, I'm going to have a sister?" I asked. "Well, we don't know yet." Chiron said. Mr.D, who heard the conversation, walked over to us. "Oh great, another Poseidon child, yippee!" Mr.D said sarcastically. I glared at him. "Hey Percy! Your going to have a sis?" Jason asked, who was thankfully visiting this week. "I don't know. Chiron thinks so." I said. "But, it's very uncommon for us to find a child of the big three. Especially at this age." Chiron explained. I looked down at the girl. She looked about 15 or so. Jason nodded. "Hey Jason! Could he help me with something!?" Leo yelled from outside the infirmary. "Sure! Be right back guys!" Jason yelled as he ran to help Leo. Chiron walked off to help the wounded, so it was just me and Annabeth. "Aren't you excited! Your going to have a sister!" Annabeth exclaimed. "We don't know that for sure." I said. Annabeth grunted. Suddenly the girls eyes fluttered open, revealing her sea green colored eyes. She popped up straight in her bed, then hopped off of it as quick as a rabbit, then headed towards the beach. Her speed was incredibly fast, making her look like a blur. She rushed past the people in the infirmary, knocking over lamps and side tables, then rushed past Jason causing him to drop a wrench and fall backwards. Some people, including Hazel and Frank, who were also visiting, tried to stop her. I watched as she jumped into the water, and swam away as fast as she could. I smirked. I knew I was faster. I ran to the dock, jumped in the water, and swam underneath the surface. I saw her feet kicking hopelessly. If she is a daughter of Poseidon, she doesn't know it. I grabbed her feet, and wouldn't let go. "LET GO OF ME YOU IDIOT!" She screamed. By now, everyone had crowded around the dock, interested of what was going on. "Calm down! Just tell me your name!" I said. "IT'S MADDIE! MADDIE WORTHINGTON!" She screamed as she spit water out of her mouth, trying to keep balance above water. "Okay, now I need you to calm. I'm not going to hurt you. I just need you to trust me." I said. She stopped kicking, and looked at me with her sparkling eyes. "O-okay. I trust you." She said. I let go of her foot, as she struggled again to keep balance. "Now, just calm. I want you to go underwater." I said. "Are you crazy!" She screamed. "Do you trust me!" I yelled, looking into her eyes. She nodded cautiously. "Now, go underwater." I said. She looked nervous, then dunked underwater. I went along with her. She looked around, her eyes wide open, gasping for air, until she found it. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out at first. I smiled. "I-I can breath! And talk!" She said. "Told you so." I said. She came up over surface, realizing that she wasn't wet. "I-I...who are you?" She demanded. "Come to shore, and I'll tell you more. Hey, that rhymes." I said. She laughed. Maddie and I swam to shore, only to be overwhelmed by people. "Back away!" Annabeth yelled. "I have a magical tool belt and I'm not afraid to use it!" Leo said as he put an arm around Maddie. Maddie laughed. She looked up at Leo, and Leo looked back at her. They both smiled. As we pushed through the crowd of people, Chiron trotted up to us. "Daughter of Poseidon! I was right! This is strange though, there has never been a Demigod that was revealed its godly parent before the blessing accrued." Chiron said as he walked off with Maddie, asking her questions and what-not.
