Casper's POV

Finally it's Monday, the anticipated day Casper Emerson will study in a Nigerian School. I'm sure mum must be elated about this.

I got up from bed, did a little prayer, I have to talk to my creator before starting my day. I brushed my teeth and went down stairs to see what my parents are up to.
Upon getting there, my plan was to scare my mum but that woman is like every other Nigerian mother, I presume have eyes at the back of their head. In one word, I failed woefully.

Good morning darling mother, I greeted her in mocking tone, "Good morning darling son" she replied in the same manner. I chuckled at this.
I asked her what's for breakfast, "pancakes" she replied. She served me breakfast and just when I was about to express my appreciation, a loud yawn interjected. "The old man's here" I say, and my dad replied jokingly that he is offended by that statement. My mum cooed him by saying he looks like he is in his 20s in her eyes, then she proceeded to give him a kiss and that was how my parents began sucking eachothers face in front of their precious innocent son ( note the sarcasm). "Get a room guys" I screamed in annoyance, they both chuckled in reply.

I took my phone out and started scrolling through the internet while eating, but it seems like the internet isn't a morning person so I dropped my phone only to find my parents arguing on who is a better cook between them.
"Casper" my mum called, " who is a better cook between your dad and I", " I'm not going to answer that" I told her off, then she hissed.
I wonder who is the adult in the house, I nod my head In disappointment, I asked for parents but I got babies instead.

I cleaned up and wore my uniform which I received yesterday. The uniform looks good on me , I'm sure I'm going to turn heads today. My phone beeped, which signalled Ivan's arrival. Ivan and I are cousins, well cousins from the mother side. We planned to go to school together.
I took my new school bag and went downstairs, I saw my parents cuddled up like they weren't arguing just few minutes ago. I told them bye and they both replied.
I went outside to meet Ivan who was resting on a black sleek car. "Wassup mate" I greeted him, "abeg commot your stupid mate na Naija we dey" Ivan replied, I laughed at this. "Let's go" I told him. We got into the car and Ivan started giving me an unrequested orientation. He said he, Leo and another friend of his are the golden boys in school, he also mentioned the popular girls and other students. The one that caught my attention was when he mentioned the richest student in their school which is a girl, who doesn't talk to anybody. "Iremide" that's what he said her name was.
