This was a nightmare. An absolute, undeniable nightmare.
Shiva wondered what he could have done to deserve this. Of course, there had been that incident with their first mock-divorce (which is how they referred to it now), and the whole presumed to be dead thing (which they now referred to as Raavi's heart being ripped out) but surely Raavi had gotten over that by now, hadn't he? After all, that was so 2022. And sure, there were the occasional banters he used to w-
"Papa, yeh paani bohot garam hai!" Came a little four-year-old voice, bordering on a whine.
"Mithu, jitne time mein tu apne maa jaise nakhre karne chhodega aur sach mein nahane ke liye ghoosega, utne time mein yeh perfect temperature ka ho jayega." Shiva replied, wincing slightly at how much he sounded like his mother.
The little naked boy pouted at him before turning away and sitting on the floor with his arms crossed. Shiva sat back against the toilet, spent. It was time to call in reinforcements.
"Ae Chhipkali! Apne bete ko sambhaal!"
"Yeh bathroom mein aate hi mera beta kyun bann jaaata hai?" Raavi said upon entering the bathroom.
"Aur by the way, yeh 'zidd' aur 'akad' na usko tujhise viraasat mein mili hai." Raavi added, gesturing to the sulking boy. Shiva rolled his eyes in response and the two got to work.
And that is the story of how it took the combined forces of a grumpy dad, a sunshine mom, and a yellow rubber duck to successfully get a four-year-old in the bath.
