Chapter 1: Memory Lane

Jaune's POV

It's been nearly a whole years since I was Expelled from Beacon. But now I have given a purpose once again. I am now a hero in Midgar and a honorable soldier first class. But something also feels lost at times. My emotions became dull and my lust for justice grows. My friends Genesis and Angeal were helpful on keeping me entertained and good to have company with. Genesis keeps reciting Loveless many times while Angeal always talks about honor and dreams. To be honest I'm happy I left beacon to become SOLDIER. But as soon the Wutai war ended both Angeal and Genesis went off the grid. Me along with Angeal's little puppy Zack Fair now on a mission to find both Genesis and Angeal. We entered the front office to talks to Lazard the director of SOLDIER on the whereabouts on them both which also includes Hollander.

Lazard: We have confirmation that Genesis has been spotted flying south to the four kingdoms. From his direction he's heading to Vale.

Of all places why there? Lazard noticed this and knew about my back story which gotten him concerned.

Lazard: Jaune will this mission be a problem?

Me:... no.

Lazard: Good because Zack will be joining you on this operation even some infantryman as well. Once you're packed and ready, you'll leave immediately.

Me:...

I just hope I don't run into them at least, but if it's Ruby and the others then I don't mind.

End POV

As Jaune waits at the helicopter he's soon sees Zack and some Turks heading his way.

Zack: Hey Jaune!

Jaune: Zack. You ready?

Zack: You know I am. Let's just hope... Angeals there to?

Jaune: Hmmm.

As the boarded the helicopter they were now off to Vale. Jaune decided to sleep along the way till they arrive there at least. As some passes on they finally arrive to Vale and landed at the docks. It was dark so it was good that police of Vale didn't see them nor Atlas. Then a loud explosion accursed close by giving a suspicious feeling Genesis could be behind it. As we arrived we see a familiar face facing off some White Fang at the docks. It was Blake. For so long I haven't seen her but it seems like she hasn't change except for the cat ears.

Jaune: Heh it may not be Genesis but still looks like she needs some help.

Zack: Well what are we waiting for!

Jaune: *chuckles*

As both Jaune and Zack enter the battle in hand unknown to them they were being watched.

Blake's POV

Thanks to Sun we found that sadly the White Fang are working with Roman the famous criminal. We attacked but we're overrun soon after. Then suddenly a blast then hits the group of White Fang members followed up with a power slash eliminating the group. I gotten a closer look at my savior and to my surprise it's Jaune but different. He now wears a
Black coat with silver shoulder pads and on his left hand a long katana. Two white fang grunts ran at him but were outclassed by his new skills.

Jaune: Heh is that the best you can do?

I've never see so skilled with a sword like this before. Suddenly more people help out taking down the white fang. Then more bullheads came in with more White Fang but suddenly a green beam of light sliced them down. I turn around to see Some girl with orange hair and Ruby in the roof tope. We saw that Roman got away but soon the event was resolved.

Jaune: It's been a long time, right Blake.

Me: Jaune! *runs and hugs him* I missed you.

Jaune: Same here. *hugs back*
