"I love you"
Those three words, can possibly change someoned life.
Ive heard those words many times....but i still await for that person to say "i love you too."

I look down at them as they were laying on my chest, they held on to my shirt tightly....as if i was about to leave them.

I tried to look at their face but they hid it.
"Are you okay?" I asked....Did i scare them? Do they hate me now? Did i-

"I..."
.....
I waited for them to continue.
"I...am very... fond of you as well.."
Well thats one way to say "i love you too"
I bit my tongue to suppress the words i wanted to say....if i said them, they would hurt them..

"Youre...very fond of..me?" I repeated, just in case. They nodded. My chest felt weird...cant they just say "I love you" back?
Are they trying to avoid saying it? Do they not love me?

I took a deep breath to relax myself. I didnt want to be angry at them but...its hard.
I put my hand on their back and rubbed in a circler motion.
Im trying to not show my anger..i dont want them to be scared. Maybe they arent used to saying it...that makes sense..i shouldnt be angry at them.

I kissed their forehead, notcing that they fell asleep. I smiled and turned on the TV, lowering the volume to not wake up them.

Even though they didnt say it, ill assume they do indeed, love me back.
