"Finally!" I squealed. After waiting 5 hard months, today, on December 18, I was going to London. I looked over all of my belongings I was bringing. 2 suitcases, 2 bags of art supplies, and my Splintered survival bag. My family thinks that it's an "activity bag" but inside holds everything I need: All 3 books out (so far), 2 flashlights, a map of London, a bag of food, a change of clothes, some makeup, and black face paint. I was reviewing my master plan when my mom pierced the silence; "GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE ISABELLE!" She screamed. I grabbed all 5 of my bags and shot down the stairs, out the door, and into the airport shuttle. My mom let out an exasperated gasp. "All of this stuff. You're not going through with this, are you? It's winter break. We're not going to the Thames Garden, we're seeing tourist attractions with Renne and her family. I groaned. Renne and her family had been best friends with my family for ages. Last June, they had moved to London. We were now staying with them for winter break. "Fine." I mumbled. But it wasn't over.

The plane ride had been long and boring. As I walked out of the plane, I saw Renne instantly. She wore the same floral dress with huge pockets she wore all the time when she lived near me. Her short cropped blond hair and big red glasses looked the same. "OMG! Isabelle! Hi! You look so different!" She was kind of right. My layered hair had grown and I usually wore it up now. I used to only wear lip balm, but now I mostly wore lip gloss. Today I wore light pink. I smiled lightly. "You look...nice." I said, at that moment realizing the mustard stain on her dress. Yep. She really hadn't changed at all.

Renne's flat was tiny. I had to share a bedroom with Evan. It was the guest room. And it was small. I slept on the bed, Evan slept on the floor. The bed was small, and the sheets were too big. I hated it. But I had to do something! So I trudged out of the room and got ready to go "tour"
