My stomach was growling, my head pounded. I looked at the clock that hung above Ms. Norburry's desk the skinny red hand clicking away. One more minute of torture. People started to shuffle their things into backpacks and dump lose papers into the trash can. The bell was about to ring. Everyone just barely started to stand up and threw their book bags over their shoulders. Ms. Norburry continued on with her speech about how sunscreen saves lives from skin cancer and to use when ever we went outside this summer, but no one payed attention. My hands began to shake with excitement and just then the sound of the bus bell rang throughout the halls and screams of joy soon followed. I busted through the doors of the classroom with everyone else running in the hallways. Teachers yelled at us to calm down, but we didn't want to. Next year we'd be seniors and it was our very last high school break. I climbed into my bus squeezing in tight to sit next to my friend Angelica. We both smiled knowing what each other was thinking, a summer filled with pool parties, boys, and nights filled with Netflix and Dominos Pizza. We were both so excited for our epic summer break to begin we had no idea what was in store for us!
