Chapter 24

*Velonica POV*

I still can't wrap my mind around that GACKT was dying. It seemed he was such a big part in my life. Yes. I know he was my mentor from the beginning, but.... He was more than that to me. He was like a father. Guiding me.... Protecting me. But now he... He won't be.
"This can't be real. He was just on the phone with me yesterday. There's no way. I'm...I'm going to miss him so much. He was like a dad. Always by my side.", I cried out into Kwon's shoulder.
He was holding me tight to him rubbin my back and kissing the top of my head. " I know....he didn't deserve this. He seemed to care a lot about you. That's why I'm greatful to him."
I looked up at him shocked. (Greatful?) Before I could open my mouth and ask why the doctor came back out.
"You may go in now... Its almost time.", he ushered us into the room.
I stood at the door looking at him in the bed. All the tubes and IV he had in him. The cuts and bruises. They were almost too much for me to bare.

*G Dragon POV*

I looked at GACKT all bandaged up and felt my heart sink. He looked so broken and defeated. I hardly knew him and I felt horrible. I looked at Velonica and saw her keep her tears back. Her was looked so horrified.
Finally he must have saw us. He leaned his head up some and smiled. (Still has those pearly whites) I smiled to myself and grabbed her hand. She clinched tightly as we made our way over to his bed.
" Hey.", GACKT's voice was almost a whisper. He seemed to catch eyes with Velonica, because he made a extremely wide smile.
"....GACKT... I...please.", she looked down at the floor and let the tears roll.
His smile faded as he see her tears. I gave her hand to him. Her tears go worse.
" Don't cry Velly. I'll always be with you. Don't forget what I told you those years back.", he smiled and held her hand tightly.
I would have been jealous if he wasn't dying. Velonica nodded her head and looked up at him. Her face would be etched in my brain that way forever. So hurt and broken. It seemed lifeless.
He pulled her face to his and began to whisper something In her ear. Then he hand holding hers became lifeless and his mouth no longer moved but was replaced with a small smile. His eyes were closed and his chest no longer rose. I bit my lip and cringed at the loud prolonged never ending beep that cascaded my eardrums. He was gone and Velonica was breaking down.

*Velonica POV*

No... No.... Oh God no!! "GACKT!? GACKT please!? No dammit no!", I was squeezing his hand extremely tight when Kwon pulled me away. I was hysterical, but I didn't care. It was as if a part of my heart was stolen.
We were finally out in the hall when I felt Kwon's embrace. He was holding me tightly to his chest. He didn't let go until my tears stopped and I was breathing normally.
The road home seemed to be so long. The trees seemed like a never ending sea of green. The scenery to me was no longer evergreen, but melancholy. Slowly, I skipped into a deep sleep. Only hearing Kwon's humming and feeling his hand on mine.

Gackt's funeral was news everywhere. He had fans lined all outside his burial place. I wasn't so upset anymore. I had come to terms but it still stung in my heart. They had me speak about him. I as the memories flooded my brain. Not tears of sadness but of joy. The joy that I'll always have these sweet memories of him.
At the end of the funeral I was approached by a woman. " Hello. I'm Maiyumi. This is Hiroshi.... GACKT's son."
I licked my a clinched my fist. "What do you want?", I asked coldly.
"Well obviously my son gets some of His father's possessions....or money.", she smirked at me.
(Bitch I will kill you!!) " listen this isn't the place or time.", I looked down at the boy. He couldn't have been older and than 1 or 2. He did resemble GACKT.
"I think it is.", she crossed her arms and looked at me.
(I'm going to kill her.) The boy looked up at me. He had a bruis hidden under his shirt color and another in his leg. He seems so thin, even for a child. I looked at her then at him the at her again. " Fine....." (She's going to suffer. How dare she abuse him.)
Me and her glared at each other. Then all of a sudden she snatched Hiroshi up by his hand and almost dragged him out to a car and basically threw him in. She didn't even buckle him up and sped right off. (I can't let her do this...)
