Why Not Choose Love?

Dear Diary,
Today was a typical Sunday, I woke up at 8:30 got dressed and got in my car. Once I sat down I grabbed a scrunchie and put my hair in a quick bun. Then my phone rang I checked and it was my dad I answered the phone...

"Hey honey were you up?" Asked my dad "ya I just got in my car" I answered "good I want you 2 get here soon I have a surprise" he said "ok dad I'll be there in a half hour" I said "Wait But don't speed, drive safe" he said "I know dad I know..." I Said "good ok I'll see you when you get here" he said "ok but I'm going 2 stop at Dunkin donuts first do you want anything?" I asked "no just get here quick" he said "ok I will I'll see you when i get home" I said "ok bye" he said "bye" I answered I hung up the phone.
I checked my mirrors and pulled out of my moms drive way i started down the street until I was on Main Street. I pulled into the Dunkin donuts drive though and order my usual and a muffin. I pulled out of the drive though and got strait on the high way.
I was very curious about what my dad had 2 tell me maybe we were moving closer 2 my mom, or maybe my letter from Harvard came!, or even maybe he won the lottery.

I finally got home I pulled into the drive way and parked the car. When I pulled into the drive though I saw an unfurmilliar car. I got out of my car and I walked up my steps into my house.
I step in the door and hear laughing then I hear my dad's voice then an unfurmilliar voice then laughing again. But I can't make out what there saying but I know the unfurmilliar voice is a girl. "Dad I'm home" I yell "oh mel come on in here quick!" My dad yells back I walk into the living room and see my dad sitting on the couch I look around the room and on the chair is a girl.
"Melody I'd like you 2 meet Sarah, Sarah this is my lovely daughter Melody." "Hi nice 2 meet you Mel your farther does nothing but brag about you about how smart and beautiful you are." She says Mel? I don't even know this lady why I she calling me Mel? "Nice 2 meet you 2 ..... Um Sarah" I look back over at my dad and ask "so.... Dad what was the surprise?" "We'll sweety me and... Sarah and I ummm.... we are getting MARRIED!" He said nervously I got kinda dizzy for a second "what huh" I said with confusion. I looked at both of they both just smiled awkwardly. I ran upstairs 2 my room and closed the door. I sat against my door just thinking, and thinking.
