========================================================

The two days in between the Friday that she arrived and the Monday that classes started were absolutely hectic.

The other girls had already become friends with each other. It's not that she didn't want friends, she just didn't want friends that keep her up all night with their giggling and extremely loud talking. She mostly kept to herself, reading her school books in order to be prepared for classes that started on Monday.

She was most looking forward to potions, but she was also nervous because Hermione, the kind 5th year that she sat next to at the welcome feast, told her that Professor Snape never liked students that weren't Slytherin, exceptional at potions, and especially mudbloods and Gryffindors. Ivy immediately knew that she was screwed for a few days, at least.

Ivy was on her way to the Great Hall for breakfast before classes started. At breakfast, she was given her schedule, and it told her that she had double potions first, with the Slytherins of all people. After lunch, she had transfiguration with the Ravenclaws and defense against the dark arts with the Slytherins. She sighed, finished her breakfast, and started making her way to the dungeons.

On her way out of the Great Hall, Hermione stopped her and asked what she had first.

"Unfortunately, double potions. Who even gives someone double anything on their first day? And to make it worse, it's with THE SLYTHERINS. This year is cursed." Once Ivy finished, Hermione laughed a bit and said, "Oh Ivy, have you met my best friend Harry Potter?"

Ivy's face turned to one of confusion. "Who is that? Is that the kid with the black hair or the red hair that I see you hanging around with?I'm a muggleborn, so I have no idea who anybody is here other than you and, like, 7 Gryffindors and 3 Slytherins and Ravenclaws that were surprisingly nice."

Just then, Ivy realized that she had to go find the dungeons right then if she wanted to get there on time.

"Listen Hermione, I'm really really sorry but I have to go right now or else I'm not going to make it class. Seeya later and thanks for your help!"

Hermione waved at Ivy's sprinting figure, and shook her head.

As Ivy was sprinting around a corner, she ran full-speed into a pale, blonde figure. A loud "Hey!" was yelled at the same time as a "Watch where you're going, idiot! My father will hear about this!" All of their items mixed together in a giant pile on the floor.

"How did you run into me? Do you even know who I am?" The pale boy with a green and silver necktie did not wait for Ivy to answer, and instead chose to continue. "I'm Aster Malfoy, you may know my brother Draco or my father Lucius."

They both stood up, wands drawn. Ivy rolled her eyes. "What type of name is Aster? It's a stupid one. I've also never heard of either of your dumb family members. I got my letter literally 2 weeks ago at a non-magic household."

Aster scoffed. "It's a great name, mudblood. It means star in Greek, and is also a flower. You can take your opinion and shove it up your a-"

He was cut off by Professor Mcgonagall. "Mister Malfoy, Miss Zimmerman! Wands down, if you please. What brought this on?" Immediately, both kids started yelling over each other.

"You both need to shush, and follow me. Gather your things." Both of them had the decency to look sheepish as they bent down, but as soon as Ivy's hand came even near Aster's, he sneered at her and whispered "Mudblood" under his breath, to which she whispered "Idiot" back.
