Emilia's POV
To be honest, I hated Beauxbatons.
The fancy clothes? No thank you. That's why I was delighted when my mother accepted my decision to transfer.
Well, I was also surprised. My mother was freaking Dolores Jane Umbridge. She HATED muggle borns and blood traitors.
Her idea of a punishment was a Blood-Quill. Don't know what those are? Be glad you don't. Alright, I'll tell you. They are quills that scratch into your skin when you write. It hurts like hell.
My identical twin, Eileen, is the goody two shoes in our family. She has never ever used the quill. Hmph. I've had to use the quill many times, since I'm a "devil." Apparently nobody has looked at my mother.
Anyway, Eileen and I now attend Hogwarts. I am hoping we will fit in. We both have long waist length, dark brown hair, bright blue twinkling eyes, and we are very skinny. I have scars on my left hand and right hand from Satan- I mean my mother.
Now she is preparing cream of mushroom soup, bleh. "EILEEN LUCILLE UMBRIDGE!!! EMILIA CLARA UMBRIDGE!!!" she screamed from downstairs. I quickly popped a Chocolate Frog into my mouth and trudged downstairs.
I hopped off the last stair and skipped into the kitchen. Of course, perfect Eileen was already down there setting the table for five. Wait, only three of us live here!
The first person that popped into my mind was Dad.. which couldn't be true. They had a pretty nasty divorce right before Eileen and I were born. Dad left, and never saw us again.
"Earth to Emmy? Earth to Emmy? EMILIA!!" my sister shouted in my ear, clouding my thoughts. "I said, can you please help Mum and I serve this?" she groaned and grabbed a pot. She shoved it into my arms, and I winced as it burned my arms.
The doorbell rang, and I eagerly jumped to get it. I received double glares, but I didn't care. I needed to see who our guests were. I opened the door, and instead of Dad, I saw Rufus Scrimgeour. I wrinkled my nose as he stepped in, and I looked out to see who else was there.
I was disgusted once again. It was my sister's boyfriend, Geoffrey Diggory. He was seventeen. Eileen ran in and started snogging him. I gagged, and she glared at me. "Come on, Gee! I need to talk to you in private" she purred at him, stroking his arm.
Eileen's POV
Now I had him. I led him into the bedroom, and carefully closed the door. Mother hated doors slamming, and I wasn't going to disobey her rules, unlike Emilia. Honestly, it's as if Emmy doesn't even care that we have rules!
Anyways, I gracefully slid across the floor onto my bed, next to Gee. He smiled at me, and I immediately started to cry into his shoulder.
"What's wrong, E?" Gee awkwardly pulled me in for a hug. I looked up, and quickly pulled out my pocket mirror. I looked terrible. My makeup was smeared, and my usually shiny hair was tangled.
"Well-" I took a deep breath and shuddered. "You know h-how Rufus Scrimgeour is here? I- I thought my dad was coming and.. I really want to see him. Why couldn't Rufus been Father?" I buried my face in my hands.
Gee, his face twisted in a concerned expression, continued to work his magic and make everything alright. He suggested we return to the table, and I told him I needed to redo my makeup. He shrugged and sat outside of the bathroom for me.
Finally, I walked out, feeling fresh and beautiful. I looked at my Beauxbatons uniform and sighed. Beauxbatons had been an amazing school. Now we were going to Hogwarts. This. Can't. Be. Happening.
Mother screeched for Gee and I, so we walked to the dining room. Mother had seated me next to Emmy, so I quietly took my seat. The conversation was about -what a coincidence- Hogwarts.
"So, are you willing to do it?"
"Yes. The twins are going to be attending, so it will work out."
"Alright then, you get the job."
"Thank you."
I choked on my bread, and Emmy whacked me on the back. I spit out my piece of bread and it landed on Rufus. "Sorry, Mr. Scrimgeour" I winced as I said this. Emmy laughed, and I kicked her on the knee.
"Well, girls, you are now looking at Hogwart's new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." Mother said in a cheery voice that made me want to cry. No, no, no, no, no. This isn't supposed to happen. My devilish mother, becoming a teacher? Oh please, don't let this happen.
A.N.-- So? You like it so far? I might revise this and make it longer and perhaps do a Gee POV to sort of enunciate on the chat about Rufus and the announcement. Gee actually also attends Hogwarts, so he knows the gist of it all. PLEASEEE COMMENT YOUR OPINION!! Okay, bye!
