A/N: Happy Fourth of July! Woohoo!
Emilia's POV
I woke up the next morning, my hand searing with pain. I looked at in confusion, and then I suddenly remembered last night.
"That devil!" I said, gritting my teeth angrily. I decided that I wanted to skip her class, but I couldn't. That would just land me in more detention.
Eileen came over, her hair all combed and put in a plaited braid. "Here, let me take care of it." she said, taking my hand and waving her wand. Several bandages appeared, and my hand wasn't in as much pain as it was before. "Merlin's underpants.." I murmured, and she gave me a weird look.
"What?" I snapped. "Merlin's underpants? Really?" she snorted, walking off gracefully. Everything about her graceful. Even the way she snored was graceful. Yes, Eileen snores. TAKE THAT, SIS. I FINALLY GOT YOU BACK.
Anyway, I got up and lazily changed into my robes. I brushed my teeth, pulled back my hair, and gathered all of my stuff and put it in my tiny bag. How I got it in there, you may ask? Hermione taught me an Undetectable Extension charm.
"Alright, alright, alright, let's go!" I shouted, impatiently clapping my hands. Harry and Ron came downstairs sleepily, and Hermione, Eileen, and Ginny emerged from the common room library.
"Okayyy, are we all here? Yes we are. Forward!" I shouted like a maniac. From everyone's facial expressions, they clearly thought I was one.
I marched ahead of them, occasionally shouting random stuff. We entered the Great Hall, and walked to the Gryffindor table. "Please don't worry, my lovelies, I have arrived." I cooed to some first years who stared at me.
"We were fine before you came." one snapped. "Rude." I gritted my teeth and sat down. I couldn't believe my eyes when the food appeared. "Holy cow, all of my favorites!" I exclaimed, grabbing a banana and gulping down my pumpkin juice.
"You are a female Ronald." Hermione said, rolling her eyes and taking a small bite of a green apple. She put it down, a pulled out a book. "Shut up, 'Mione." Ron and I chorused, laughing.
She grinned, and continued to read. "Hey, look at the time, we'd better head to.. Charms." Eileen said, looking at her watch. We all nodded and got up, while Ron continued shoving food down.
"Hurry up, Ron!" Hermione said, playfully swatting his arm.
"Bwo thaane dooat" he muffled, his mouth filled with food. "Whatever, let's go." Hermione snorted. "Bwo! Zi fwed zi zot wion yat! Ron said, spraying food everywhere.
"Ron!" Eileen, Hermione, Harry and I all chorused as we got sprayed by his food shower. "Sorry." he said, gulping down his food.
"You better be! I have FOOD all over my robes! Thanks a lot, Weasley!" Eileen squealed, trying to flick off bit of chewed up food on her robes.
"We all do!" Harry said, rolling his eyes.
"Okay, now we have to deal with the traffic jam of getting to class. Thanks a lot, Ronald." Hermione said, anxiously trying to find a way to get to class.
"Well, we could always just wait." he suggested, shrugging.
"Oh really? I didn't know that. Thanks a lot!" I said sarcastically.
"Glad I could help!" he said, smiling as if he didn't understand the language of Sarcasm. "Bloody hell, Ron, she's being sarcastic!" Harry said, again rolling his eyes.
"I really need to find new friends." Eileen muttered. Then, she added, "Except Hermione. Hermione's fine." To this statement, Hermione beamed in pleasure.
Finally, without getting killed or stepped on, we made it to the Charms class right before Malfoy and his gang entered.
"Hey, Potter! I see you're with Weasel, Mudblood Granger, and your girlfriends!" he said, and Eileen blushed, Harry gritted his teeth, Hermione frowned, and Ron and I attempted to tackle him, but Flitwick was looking.
Finally, when Flitwick wasn't looking, I pulled out my wand right when he raised his fist.
The last thing I saw before everything went black was his fist slamming into my face.
Hermione's POV
After taking Emilia to the Hospital Wing and sitting with her, we decided to go to Potions, since we couldn't miss a single class since it was O.W.L.S year, and we needed to learn everything we could.
Of course, I was paying attention and taking notes. Harry was just sort of looking at his book in confusion, while Ron was staring at Snape blankly. Poor Eileen wasn't able to focus since, well, her sister had been punched in the face.
At the end of Potions, Ron turned to me. "What was Snape talking about?" he asked, frowning. "When?" I asked, smiling.
"The whole lesson."
"What!? Ronald, OWLS are this year, and you didn't bother to pay ANY attention!?" I said angrily, and he put his hands up in defense.
I rolled my eyes and walked up ahead with Eileen and Harry. "Do you want to go to the hospital wing? We have ten minutes before.." I paused, looking at my schedule. "Herbology."
Eileen nodded and darted off. I turned to Harry and brought up the subject of Professor Umbridge. He scowled at me. "Really, 'Mione? You had to bring THAT up?" he asked, shaking his head.
"I'm sorry. I just think that you shouldn't be so.. disrespectful! You yelled at her, and that's why you got detention!" I said, frustrated. He shrugged and walked ahead to catch up with Eileen, which left me with Ron.
"Hey, 'Mione, I was wondering if you'd maybe like to-" he was interrupted by the sight of Ginny and Dean entangled in each other. "Oi, mate, get off my sister!" he barked at Dean, and I had to stifle a laugh. Ginny shot a glare at him, and walked off, Dean trailing behind her like a lost puppy.
We began talking and laughing about stuff, and then we arrived at the wing. Ron pushed open the door, and beckoned me to go in first. "Thank you." I said, beaming at him. He nodded and walked in behind me.
Eileen was sobbing over her sister, while Harry was awkwardly just standing there. I ran over to Eileen's side, and comforted her while Harry and Ron whispered to each other.
Then, I stood up and bumped into Madam Pomfrey. "She's unconscious and needs to be sent to St. Mungo's." Pomfrey whispered to me and I gasped.
I turned around and looked at Emilia. Her skin was pale white, she wasn't breathing, and she wasn't moving much. Then it hit me why Eileen was crying so hard. She looked like a dead person.
Harry, Ron, and I walked to Herbology, quietly whispering. Eileen had decided to stay behind with Emilia, which Pomfrey hastily allowed.
We went into the greenhouses, where some of our class were waiting with Professor Sprout. She was holding boxes of plants, and from the way that they were rumbling the box, dangerous plants.
By the end of the lesson, Neville and some Hufflepuff Hannah were both sent to the Hospital Wing to have their bites treated.
We had a free period, so I spent it studying and doing homework. Unlike what Ron had hoped for, the extra periods were not for relaxing, but indeed for doing work.
He frantically scratched out words on his essay, while I read some books, and I smiled on how frantic he was. I had already done my studying for the day, and he just stared at me. "W-wow!" he said, disbelief creasing his voice. I nodded and he went back to his work.
