Gregory's POV:
I talked, thats odd. I looked around to see if anyone heard, it seemed that no one did. Good I guess.
"Ehm.. Uh, thanks for helping me Gregory! " he said standing up with a bright smile. I put my hand over where my heart is, I felt pain when he said that, almost like my heart skipped a beat.
*Ringggg, ringgg*
The bell rang, I had gym next, luckily, the smaller boy did as well.
I enter the gym with Evan on my tail, i saw Cassidy, Charlie and a unfamiliar small orange, almost like ginger, haired girl. I walked over to them. We shared the gym with the freshman, meaning people who are 14-17 are here.
I tapped on Cassidy's shoulder, Cassidy turned around and I gave a small wave.
"Oh! Hi Liz!! " Evan said walking over to the ginger/orange haired girl and giving her a hug, which she hugged him back. Not going to lie, I felt something inside of me, like, jealously.
"Hello brother!! " she say pulling away from the hug. 'Oh, shes his sister, thats good' I thought.
The coach blowed air on his whistle causing a loud sound scaring some kids.
I stayed with Cassidy, Charlie, the girl known as Liz and Evan, I don't usually do this but I want to today, I don't know why though.
"Get into teams of five, the limit is ten" Coach Road instructed. I looked over at them, they were talking, Cass was talking about me. "We don't want you on the team" Cassidy said looking directly at me. I looked at them, I knew they weren't being serious, but I walked off. "Wait! No! I was jokinggg! " yelled Cassidy running up to me. I looked at them, Cassidy had a frown on their face, they felt sorry, I could tell, I never do this but, it felt right, I hugged them. Both Charlie and Cassidy were shocked at my actions, even though Cassidy was still in shock, they eventually hugged me back
Authors note 📝 : I don't really know what gender Cassidy is, some say they are a boy others say Cassidy is a girl, Google says Cassidy is a boy then says they are a girk, so Cassidys pronouns is they/them.
I pulled away and walked back to the group along with Cassidy.
"Wha-" Charlie was confused, but, like usual, I didn't say anything. "okay, anyway" I don't know her name, so I looked at Cassidy and Charlie with a face asking 'what's her name? ' "Her name is Elizabeth, her friends call her Liz, Lizzie, Beth, or Eli, theres probably more but you don't need to know them all" Charlie said. "He didn't even say anything? How'd you know he asked that? " Elizabeth asked confused, Evan was as confused was Elizabeth.
"I've known him for a while, it's getting a bit easy to read his facial expressions." They were still confused, although, they looked as if they understood what she meant. "He doesn't talk" Cassidy told them. "Is he mute? " Elizabeth asked. Cassidy and Charlie shrugged their shoulders, she looked at me, they all did, I shook my head.

"Oh." Everyone but Evan said. We finally started to work.
Task one: Stack all 20 boxes, you'll have 10 minutes to stack them, if you don't stack them all in time, your eliminated, if you only have one minute left and you still have five boxes left, ELIMINATED.
Everyone but me groaned.
Cassidy was first. "WHAT!? WHY ME? " Cassidy asked yelling. I simply pushed them a bit. "Ughhhh" they said walking over to the boxes. '3, 2, 1, GO!' Cassidy grabbed a box and ran over to the line which was to the end on the gym. Everyone was on both sides of the gym, watching, and/or talking to each other. Finally, they were done with only three minutes to spare. Cassidy came back panting and was full of sweat.
Cassidy has passed the first round!
Everyone in our team, but me, cheered. "Congra-" Charlie was cut off. "YOURRRR UP CHARLIE EMILY!! " I blinked a lot. "Nooo!! " winned Elizabeth. "Wish me luck" whispered Charlie walking over to the boxes.
'GO! '
Charlie finished with two minutes to spare.
Evan finished with three minutes left.
Elizabeth got lucky and wasn't eliminated even though she had one minute left.
Five girls and ten boys failed, they didn't listen, they all were friends and agreed on going slow since '10 minutes is a lot. '
It was my turn. "Good luck!! " Cheered Evan. My timer started, I picked my five boxes and place them in the line, I then picked up ten, then did the same thing, I had fifth-teen on the line. I picked up the last five and finished with 9 minutes to spare.
"Cheater!! " someone yelled. "I never said you couldn't do that" the coach said. "I knew you would do something like that, your smart kid, He told me with a bright smile "That's why I made sure that you were last, so no one would copy you" he added. Everyone jaws were on the floor. "That kid has a lot of speed" & "he is so smart!! " thats what I heard.
I walked over to my team. "Oh my gosh... THAT WAS SO COOL!!! " Evan yelled hugging me. " yeah dude! " Elizabeth and Charlie said at the same time, they both laughed right after. "That was such a good idea!! " Cassidy said giving me a thumbs up. I messed up Evans hair a bit before rubbing his back.
He is so cute. It's like love a first sight.
