"Harry, don't take it personally. You knew what we had was nonchalant. I mean Christ's sake, you knew I was married! With kids!" Olivia's words rang through Harry's ears like nails on a chalkboard. His heart was pounding, leaving his hands clammy.

The limo slowly pulled to a stop, the tires making crunching noises over the paved road. Outside, the lights of the theater shined through the window, lighting up Olivia Wilde's face as she glanced back over toward Harry.

"Please don't make a big deal out of all of this," Olivia said sounding exasperated - waving her hands encompassing them both. Harry could only stare back at her blankly. The tension in the car was palpable. After a beat of silence, Olivia made a noise of dismissal and reached for the handle.

"Whatever Harry, just hold it together... this is a big night for me" she swung the door open, got out, and left without even a backward glance.

Harry couldn't move, he sat perfectly still until the smell of Olivia's lingering perfume, musky and vanilla, threatened to make him sick. Finally breaking the spell Olivia had just placed on him, he reached towards the center consul and wrapped his hand around the chilled neck of a champagne bottle.
