Jasmine has been a waitress for a few years now. It wasn't the absolute best job in the world to most people, but it allowed her to talk to customers and form little friendships with them throughout the years. She practically knew everyone's orders by heart now and looked forward to seeing all of the familiar faces everyday.
So it was strange when someone she had never seen before walked in. Jasmine still treated her with as much kindness as she did everyone else. But as the girl kept coming in day after day, Jasmine noticed something strange about her. She always ordered two drinks. But she never had anyone with her to drink the second. It would just sit on the other end of the table, untouched.
Daya is a poet. After an event that left her traumatized and feeling lost, she moved to a new town to try to start fresh. But her wounds never healed. She highly doubted they would ever heal. Her poems get sadder and more worrying as the days go by, and she doesn't know how to fix it. She doesn't know how to fix herself and move on.
Until Jasmine, the waitress she could describe as a ray of sunshine, takes a seat across from her.

This book will deal with depression, grief, and other quite heavy topics. Of course I'm adding as much fluff as possible, but if those themes just aren't for you, consider skipping this story.
Hope you'll enjoy <3
