Mom

Bakugo's P.O.V

I texted Aunt Inko asking her to pick me up, as I quickly ran to the front office. I told her what happened and she said she'll be here soon.

I go to the office and wait for her. I see Deku walking into the office a couple of minutes later.

"Deku?" I say surprised.

"Uh, Kacchan, you're still here," he sits next to me.

"Yeah, Aunt Inko is picking me up," I say.

"Oh, mom called the school and said she'll be here soon and that I'm going home," Deku says.

"Are you going to tell me what happened?" Deku asks as we wait for his mom to get here.

"Um, my mom was in an accident," I say, taping my thumb to my other hand.

"What?!" Deku says, surprised and worried.

"Yeah, Aunt Inko's taking me to the hospital," I say. He doesn't say anything and puts his hand on my knee.

Aunt Inko gets here, and we all leave. We go to the hospital where my mom is.

Aunt Inko tells Deku and me to sit down and wait as she talks to the front desk lady.

"Where's your dad?" Deku asks.

"The old man is out of town for work. He won't be back until after break is over," I say, worrying about mom.

"Yeah, well, you should at least call him," Deku says, and I nod.

Aunt Inko walks to us, and I immediately stand up.

"She'll be fine. She's in surgery right now," Aunt Inko says, sitting down next to Deku.

"Surgery?!" I say worried.

"Yes, a piece of glass was stuck in her waist," she says. I get worried, and Aunt Inko stands up and gets me to sit down.

"She'll be fine, don't worry," she says as she and Deku hold my hands.

"Try not to worry, Kacchan," Deku says as he rests his head on my shoulder.

"Yeah, I know," I take a deep breath and rest my head on his.

A couple of hours later and the nurse asked to see me.

Aunt Inko comes with us as he talks to us in the hallway.

"Your mother will be fine. She's asleep right now. She won't wake up until tomorrow morning," the female doctor says.

"When will she be able to come home?" Aunt Inko asks.

"She'll need about a week of hospital care, and if everything goes well, she'll be home within a week or two," the doctor smiles.

I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. "Can we see her?" I ask.

"Yes," the doctor says. Aunt Inko waves Deku over, and the doctor takes us to her room.

She's sleeping and is hooked up to machines. I sit in a chair by her bed and look at her. Aunt Inko and Deku sit in a couple of chairs on the other side.

Aunt Inko gets a call and pulls her phone out. "It's your father," She says to me.

I take her phone outside and answer the phone. I talked to my dad and told him what the doctor told me.

"I'll be home as soon as possible," Dad says.

"Don't bother, she won't be home until after you're supposed to be home," I say.

"That's not the point, son... I'll talk to you later," he says, hanging up. I go back into the room and give Aunt Inko her phone.

Deku's P.O.V

About an hour later, mom and I got Kacchan to leave the hospital. She drove us to the dorms.

We just got clothes and then went to my house. It's break, so no one was at the dorms.

Kacchan and I go up to my room. He sets his stuff down and sits at my desk chair.

He rests his elbow on the arm of the chair and runs his hand through his hair.

"Hey, Kacchan, everything will be fine," I walk to him and kneel between his legs, holding his thighs.

"I know," he says, leaning forwards and hugging me. I kiss his cheek and hug him back.

"Um, does your mom know about us?" Kacchan asks, pulling back.

"Ummmmm, no," I say, thinking if I told her or not. "Do you not want to tell her?" I ask him.

"It's up to you, but you know how your mom is, will probably make us have the door open and she'll check it on us," Kacchan says grabbing my arm, telling me to stand up.

"Yeah, you're right," I say as Kacchan pulls me to his lap.

I'm sitting in Kacchan's lap sideways, with my legs hanging off the arm rest and my arms around his shoulders.

Kacchan has one arm around my shoulder and the other on my knee as I rest my head on his shoulder.

"Are you hungry?" I asked, litting, my head.

"Yeah, but can we stay like this for a bit?" Kacchan asks, and I smile at him before laying my head back down.

I close my eyes and melt into Kacchan's shoulder, smiling.
