•Tris POV •
After our pizzookies we went to bed. Caleb is home now so we can't do anything.
I wake up the next morning wrapped in Drakes arms. I look at him and see he's sound asleep.
I carefully get out of bed and go downstairs.
On the couch watching tv is Caleb.
"Good morning" I say
"Morning. What are you doing up so early?" he says
"Wanted to make breakfast for Drake. Do you want some?" I say
"Yeah sure. Hey listen. I just wanted to say how sorry I am because of Four. He's an asshole. Truthfully I never liked him. I do like Drake though. He's a nice guy and I know he'll treat you right" He says
"Well thank you for your candor" I say
"Since when do you know words like candor?" He asks
"Since I started paying more attention in class. Oh and that's because of Drake by the way. We have bets to see who can get better grades" I say
"Well good for you" He says and gives me a small smile
I walk over to the couch and hug him.
"I love you big bro" I say
"I love you too little sis" He says
"Oh and because it's our 1 month anniversary. I got him tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks tonight and an autographed Towes jersey and hockey stick" I say
"Oh cool" He says
I walk into the kitchen and start making red, white, and blue waffles.
I start cooking the waffles and them cut up strawberries. I wash some blueberries then I grab a can of whip cream.
Once I start to put the whip cream on the waffles I feel arms wrap around me.
"Happy 1 month anniversary babe" He says
"Happy anniversary" I say
"Looks and smells good" He says
"Yeah the waffles did turn out good" I say
"Well I was talking about you but the waffles do too" He says
"Haha" I say
"What?" He asks then sniffs me
"You do" He says
I roll my eyes. I give him a kiss then walk back to the living room to give Caleb his plate.
"Thank you" He says
I nod and walk back to the kitchen.
I walk in and see him holding red roses and a box.
"Happy anniversary" He says
He gets down on one knee and opens the box.
"Tris. I know I haven't known you long but I do know that I am in love with you. I adore you. I would do anything for you. Oh that rimes. Anyway if you asked me to give up hockey I would do that. If you asked me to make the earth spin in the other direction I would. I love you. If you say no I will accept that but I hope you say yes because you are my soul mate. Will you marry me?" He asks
I have tears spilling down my face. I wrap my arms around his neck and whisper yes to him as many times as I can.
He puts the ring on my finger. I look at it and it's a gorgeous white gold band with a chocolate diamond.
"I had it ingraved. It says 'Trake'. I heard everyone say that's our ship name. I hope I didn't do this too early but I just couldn't wait for you to be mine" He says
"No. It's perfect. Thank you" I say
"I love you" He says
"I love you too. Now my gift seems like nothing compared to this" I say
"I'm positive that it's amazing" He says
"I got us tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks game tonight and I got you an autographed Towes jersey and hockey stick" I say
"Really?!" He asks
"Yeah they're in the downstairs closet" I say
He picks me up and hugs me tightly. He gives me a quick kiss then runs out of the kitchen to the closet.
He runs back in wearing the jersey and holding the tickets and stick in his hands.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He yells
I smile.
"I also arranged for you to meet the team" I say
"What? You did that's amazing" He says and picks me up again
"I love my gift. It's awesome. Amazing. Fantastic. Any other adjectives you can think of" He says
"Well its not as good as my gift" I say and touch my ring
He kisses my hand.
"You know I called your dad about a week ago asking if I could propose to you and he said yes. I also asked your brother and he said yes too" He says
"Aren't you old fashion" I say
"Nope just a gentleman" He says
"We should probably get ready. We need to be there early so you can meet the team" I say
"Yeah I agree. Do you think I asked too early?" He asks
"No I think it's perfect. But can we wait til after we graduate from high school?" I ask
"Of course we can. Anything you want I will make happen" He says
"I love you Drake" I say
"I love you too future Mrs. Maverick " He says
I smile and kiss him.
