"Excuse me, Yesul-sshi, I really need to go." I asked Yesul as they sat down.
"I thought you were friends with oppa? Don't you want to catch or talk about anything?
"Its just that I really have to go." Me and Minseok are in no position to meet up and talk about memories.
She's really persistent. She stood up from where she was sitting and pushed me down into my seat.
"Wait here okay? I'll be back oppa! I need to go to the rest room." she said as she stormed off.
...
...
...
Okay this is just awkward.
Ring ring
"Hello?" I answered the phone.
"Eomma!" Joohyuk said with a croaking voice.
"Why? What happened?"
"I miss you. When will you arrive? Please pick me up. I even stole Uncle Jun's phone just to call you." I laughed at my son, he truly is one of a kind.
"Oh, don't worry baby, I'll go there right now. Just wait for 10 minutes okay?"
"Okay." He mumbled while sniffing.
"Bye Joohyuk, love you."
"I love you too mommy!!!" I ended the call. I saw Minseok staring at me with a stoic expression on.
"I need to go." I stood up and started walking away without waiting for his reply.
"Bye, Jung Joomi." I heard him mumble under his breath. What was that? He said my name in the most creepiest voice ever. It sent chills to my spine.
I drove as fast as I could.Traffic is so bad this days.
PARENTS' HOUSE
"Eomma, what took you so long?" Jookyuk ran up to me, hugging my legs.
"Mianhe, Joohyuk. Caught up in traffic." I replied pinching his cheeks.
"Here's some fruit, eomma." I muttered to my mom while giving her the basket.
"Thanks dear, your father said that you better get going so you won't get home late." She said as she hugged me.
We went to my car and started the engine.
"So, was it fun playing with harabeoji and halmonim?" I asked Joohyuk.
"Uhuh. It was so fun! Samcheon even let me play his computer! But, I missed you eomma. Why don't you stay with me when we go there?"
"I have work you know, but I really want to stay there too."
COMPANY
"Mrs Cha, when will Mr Kim Xiumin arrive?" I asked her.
"A little later ma'am. It is said that he will be only available for 15 minutes, as his schedule is really packed."
"Oh, is that so. How come I have never met him? It seems like he is a famous architect and I have read many articles about him." I mumbled while looking at my computer screen.
"It is because he preferred to work overseas, he has many connections with countries such as China, Japan, Philippines and Singapore. He just came back a few months ago."
"Ah, he really is a devoted man."
After a couple of minutes, I got a call from Chu Ahjumma.
"Yeoboseoyo?"
"Ne, ma'am, Joohyuk is being persistent into going to the company, it seems like he has something important to tell you."
"What is it?"
"He refuses to tell me, he wants to tell it to you directly."
"Ahjumma, I'm expecting a important person. I can't talk with Joohyuk right now. Please let him know that I will go home early tonight and I'm sorry."
"Ne, ma'am." I hanged up on the phone and did my work again.
Ring ring
I answered the telephone. "Ma'am, I am informed that Mr Kim is already inside the building."
"Ah ne, please make sure he arrives here safe and let him in immediately."
3RD PERSON POV
"Joohyuk, your eomma said that she will go home early later, she can't talk right now." Chu ajhumma broke the news to Joohyuk. Obviously, disappointed he started to sulk in his seat.
The car stopped at a red light, and Joohyuk had an crazy idea. He unlocked the door, grabbed his school bag and went out in the streets. He was unfamiliar in these streets. Chu ahjumma, flustered ran up to him, unfortunately she was a little bit slow and lost him, she was in old age.
Aimlessly, he wandered the side walk, hoping for something familiar to see. Tears already formed in his eyes and the people around him didn't care at all. He kept walking forward and recognise a familiar cafe. It was the cafe, in front of the company. He walked up the cafe, glad to see the company in the other side of the street.
He tried to cross the street but to him the cars seemed like racing each other. He started to cry.
"What's wrong little boy?" a man approached him.
Joohyuk did not respond, he was taught very well that he shouldn't talk to strangers. He looked at the man and pointed towards the building across them, he was not allowed to talk remember?
The man was confused, then understood what he meant. He held the little boy's hand as the crossed the street.
"Where are you going?" The man asked Joohyuk as he ran towards the front door. The man caught up with Joohyuk, confused, why does a little kid want to enter a corporate building.
"Joohyuk?" Someone called. Joohyuk ran to the person who called him. The security guard in the front door, almost all the employees know Joohyuk.
"Ahjusshi, I want to go to eomma." Joohyuk did not know the security guard's name but he recognised his face.
"Uh okay." The guard looked up to the man who Joohyuk was with.
"Uh, it seems like his mom works here, well, I found him in the cafe up front. He was alone and crying, he kept pointing here so I brought him here."
"What a kind soul you are." the guard told him.
"Annyeong Joohyuk!" the man waved at Joohyuk, hearing from the guard's call.
"Kamshamnida." Joohyuk bowed, and held the guard's hand. Accompanying him to his mom's office.
The man went out and made a phone call.
