Another day in Newtopia-- more precisely, evening, even night. You went and looked around the castle. Because, damn it, it was beautiful. You examined its structures and interior. You continued to walk the corridors and look around until you decided to enter the throne room. Okay, maybe it's not very right to roam the castle almost at night. ESPECIALLY go to the throne room. Probably. You wanted to get closer to the throne, but you noticed that in front of it was... a chessboard. As you got closer, you noticed that the pieces looked like frogs. You took a piece that looks like a frog sitting on a heron. You have to admit that they are carved and decorated beautifully. You began to inspect each piece, at the end to take a pawn. Suddenly, the doors to the throne room opened. You heard that someone approached you.

— [Y/n]? What are you doing here? — it was Andrias, of course, who else can enter the throne room? However, you were scared. What if he doesn't like the fact that you're in HIS throne room and maybe touching HIS thing? Although, you didn't hear any anger or anything like that in his voice, just pure surprise. You shuddered, the piece fell out of your hand (you tried to put it in its place, but accidentally dropped it), turned around and leaned your hand on the chessboard, knocking down some pieces, put your head on your hand.

— Heeeey, Andrias-- it's-- it's nothing, just... taking a walk, — you smiled nervously, leaning on your arm so hard you nearly fell over.

— You were looking for something?

— NO, no, — you took a deep breath and straightened up, — I was just... looking around the castle and... what is it? Something like-- chess?

You took a piece that might have been a rook and threw it into the air, then caught it. Leviathan's face went from slightly surprised to a slight smile.

— Oh, it's flipwart.

— Flipwart?

The king walked around you and the table, stopping at the throne in front of you. You put the piece back.

— Flipwart is quite a popular strategy game in our world. Like you said, like Marcy said, this game is like your chess. Both sides have a wart and they're trying to flip it.

— Flip the wart. Flipwart. Got it. Kind of like checkmate the king. I remember Grime mentioned this game...

— Who? Grime? — Andrias suddenly asked in surprise.

— Oh, it's nothing. An old incident. I believe these pieces have special... "abilities", unlike our chess?

— Mhm, — he took one of the pieces, — This is an archer. There are two of them. They can only attack in a straight line.

You grunted in understanding, pointing your finger at their "shot" for yourself. Then Andrias took a piece that looked like a toad.

— It's a knight. They can jump over other pieces.

You continued to nod silently and listen to Leviathan tell the rules of the game. You took different pieces, moving them, imagining how you would play. You've never considered yourself smart, you've rarely been able to focus on playing chess. You could only play with your friends because they didn't judge you for every wrong and ill-considered move. Meanwhile, the king seemed to notice your interest.

— Wanna play? — he asked you with a smile on his face. And you dropped the rook.

— What.

— S-sorry, maybe I... misunderstood you. It's just-- I haven't played with anyone in a long time. I used to play with Marcy, but now she's a little... busy. I played with her today. Second time ever.
