One morning as Alexis wakes up she yawns before getting out of the box she was sleeping. Alexis then notices Bolt and Mittens aren't anywhere in sight before going looking for them and sees them by a billboard sign as Mittens gives Bolt an angry look.
"Hey what's going on? Is everything okay." Alexis asks.
"He's still going back to her." Mittens says sourly.
"What!?" Alexis asks in shock as she looks at Bolt.
"Alexis I have to. She's my person." Bolt says.
"I tried to explain it to him. He won't listen to me. Maybe he'll listen for you." Mittens says as she walks off.
"Bolt I thought you were enjoying being a real dog. Penny is just an actress. It's in her job to act. You don't know for sure that she really felt the way she did." Alexis says as she attempts to reason with Bolt.
"Alexis I know you had a bad experience with people but not all of them are like that. Penny isn't like that. I really have enjoyed my time with you guys. I enjoyed my time with you the most. But I have to go back to her. She isn't like other people." Bolt says.
"You don't know that." Alexis says.
"Alexis I just don't belong out here. This isn't my home. I don't belong at here like you and Mittens." Bolt says as Alexis gives an angry look.
"So that's what it is. You don't wanna be here because you don't belong on the streets and instead belong in the arms of an actress who could very well replace you because her job calls for it. But yet Mittens and I do belong out here? We do belong on the unforgiving streets? You know what Bolt just go. I can see the only way you'll learn is the hard way. Just leave us alone and go home if that's all you care about." Alexis says angrily.
"Alexis I didn't mean it like that I-" Bolt then gets cut off by Alexis.
"Just leave Bolt! I should have never let my walls down for you." Alexis says angrily.
"I'm so sorry Alexis. I wish things could of been different somehow. Just please take care of yourself." Bolt says as he leaves before Alexis walks back to where Mittens is and sees her push a trash can lid filled with food away.
"He left. Didn't he?" Mittens asks.
"Yeah." Alexis says sadly.
"You okay?" Mittens asks as she looks at Alexis.
"No but it's whatever. I'm used to be let down and getting my heart broken by people anyway. Bolt is no different." Alexis says as she tries to hide her anger and sadness but fails.
"That meat lover's pizza is not loving me back at all." Rhino says as he comes over.
"Hey there Rhino." Mittens says.
"Morning wolf, cat... Where's Bolt?" Rhino asks sleepily as he looks around for Bolt.
"He's... Uh... He's gone." Alexis says.
"Bolt... Left?" Rhino asks in surprise.
"Yeah but he instructed us to tell you that he had to face the Green-Eyed Man alone." Mittens says as Rhino begins to leave.
"Whoa! Where are you going?" Alexis asks.
"To Bolt." Rhino says.
"But he doesn't need us anymore." Mittens says sadly.
"Trust me I've seen it a million times before. In the cold dark night before the battle when the steely fangs of evil are sharpened and poised to strike the hero must go and face his greatest challenge alone. But if Bolt's taught me anything is that you never abandon a friend in a time of need. When your teammate's in trouble you go. Whether they ask or not you go. Not knowing if you're coming back dead or alive-" Rhino then gets cut off by Mittens.
"He went the other way." Mittens says.
"You go! Knowing how deep the shrapnel's going to pierce your hide you go!" Rhino says as he goes the other way.
