6 years later
Jin approached his newly opened 5-star hotel Starlight, entering it through the back doors. His little star, 5 year old June, walked in front of him, and Charles followed a few steps behind them. The hotel employees bowed to them, and in return, received big smiles from June. Entering his office, Jin saw his trusted managers already seated and waiting for him. They quickly stood up and greeted him, "Good morning, Mr. Kim and Ms. June." June giggled and greeted each one of them with a princess bow. She then ran towards her little table, placed right next to her papa's desk.
Since the hotel's opening a year ago, Jin would visit it only a few times. However, as the end of the financial year approached, he had to come in and sign some important documents. He anticipated spending just two to three hours there. Afterward, he and June planned to go to Rodeo Drive for some much-needed shopping and other fun activities. The father-daughter duo would spend the night in their hotel and the following day drive back to their ranch.
BTS without Jin wasn't the same and after Jimin gave birth to a healthy boy, they stopped living together. Everyone moved into their own apartments. Nevertheless, BTS continued to excel, breaking chart records with each subsequent album. After a year or two, some ARMYs seemed to forget that BTS once had 7 members.
It was hours before their concert in L.A., and the members were gathered behind the stage, all wearing goofy hats and singing the happy birthday song. Jackson clapped with his little hands and laughed at his funny looking uncles. He then moved toward the cake, closed his eyes, and blew out the six candles.
Well done, baby. What did you wish for?" Jimin asked Jackson. Jackson gasped, responding, "Silly appa. If I tell you, then it won't come true." All the members laughed at the adorable little boy. "You can tell it to your appa," Namjoon suggested, smiling. "Appas are an exception."
The little boy nodded his head and leaned over to whisper in his appa's ear, "I wish daddy would love me too, like Sarah and Judith." The smile on Jimin's face disappeared, and he glanced at the others, uncertain of what to say. Namjoon quickly bent down, lifting the little boy, tossing him up in the air, and catching him safely. The boy screamed in happiness, "Again, again, Uncle Joon!" The little worries were instantly forgotten.
After they finished their concert, the members were driven back to the hotel where they were staying. As always, the entire three floors were reserved for them. Jimin was the first one to hurry back. His son was sleeping in his room, and, of course, a nanny was with him, taking good care of the little boy.
At just 9 pm, Taehyung and Jungkook found themselves far from tired in the modern and entertainment-rich hotel they were currently staying at. As they strolled toward the reception for additional information, a familiar voice reached their ears, a voice both men thought they wouldn't hear again.
They turned around to see a little girl giggling and eagerly running in their direction, capturing their attention. Following closely behind her was a young man, his hands filled with shopping bags, playfully pretending that she was too fast for him. Once again, the familiar voice called out, "June, baby, slow down, you might fall."
Looking in the direction of the voice, both men froze. It was Jin, a smile adorned his beautiful face, making him look absolutely stunning. As he walked towards them, his gaze remained fixed on the little girl.
Jungkook's heart skipped a beat, and his hands began to shake. It was Jin, his Jin. He appeared younger and even more beautiful, a fact that seemed almost impossible.
As the little girl passed them, Jin remained just two or three meters away, still walking. Unable to recognize them due to the caps and masks they both wore, the two men watched in both amazement and a sense of longing.
