Chapter 1

AN: Man, it's good to be back! Seriously, I've been planning this story for quite a while, but to actually start writing it is a completely different feeling!

Let's get some things out of the way. First of all, there is a 3 year time skip in place. Which means, Naruto will return to Konoha after three years of training. Those who came hoping that I would write about his training, sorry but you won't find it here.

Second, and one of the most important things to remember while you read this story: There will be no major changes to the Shippuden storyline. I'm still figuring a couple of things out, but the story will more or less be the same.

The only change will be Naruto.

I'm writing this story with a Naruto who is a completely different character from the manga. A Naruto who will have very different reactions to the events that happened in the manga. I'm not going to create an original storyline, so don't criticize me down the line for that.

Thirdly, Naruto will be powerful. VERY POWERFUL. After how powerful I made him in my previous story, I'm not about to nerf the guy, or everyone is gonna blow up on me. Call it an OP Naruto story, because this is exactly that.

This time, I'll try to do justice to Naruto and Sasuke's complicated relationship. I'll try to make it clearer this time.

But don't forget, NARUTO is the main character. Not Sasuke.

On a smaller note, there will be some behind the curtain developments, nothing big, just superficial to make myself feel better as a person and a writer, so please just roll with it. Not only that, but I plan to redeem Sakura in this story, so there's that.

Also, I've received some comments about the fox summons having tails similar to tailed beasts. I'm going to correct that- they will be just as large as before, but they won't have multiple tails. Please note this and don't bug me about it later.

About updates, I will try to keep at at least once every two weeks, since I've got a lot more to study now, exams coming and all that.

I sincerely hope that this story is enjoyed by the readers, and may you all make this story a bigger success than its predecessor.

Kotohiwa was a small, but a popular town that was known for its rather delicious and large variety of tempura. Its population mainly consisted of low level merchants, and tourists were rare due to the town being dangerously close to the border of Iwa and Taki. Which was why the only people who visited the town belonged to those two countries. It was a place of good cuisine, if nothing else.

In one of the Tempura bars, one of the more popular ones called "Jinsei no michi", the "Road of life", on the bar stools, sat an ordinary looking young man, slowly eating his chicken tempura, eyes closed as if truly enjoying his food. The bar was almost empty, the people leaving for their homes at eight in the evening.
