I  sat down beside Daryl, helping him clear his arrows. the group ate peacefully, talking and laughing. then saw gleen look at dale and dale nodded to him. "umm guys..." he trailed off as he stood up, getting all our attention. "there are walkers.. in the barn." he stumbled to find the words. the whole group looked shocked as Maggi was fuming with rage. "there walkers in the barn?" carol asked scared "well we need to clear that barn then!" Shane yelled after some arguing. "Shane, no it's not our land were guests." rick said with an angry sigh. "plus, I have already talked to Hershel, he sees them as people, his wife, his grandson-" dale was cut off by an angry Shane. "it's our life, and our safety," he screamed in rage. "I know, ok Shane you need to calm down." rick said to shanes outburst of anger. "calm?? calm when there flesh-eating monsters in the barn?" Shane screamed

I turned to a very confused and angry Daryl by my side, and he turned to look at me. "what the hell?" he said confused. "I don't know, but SHANE needs to sit his ass down!" I yelled so shane could hear me. shane stormed off and rick went to talk to Hershel. I sighed in frustration with what Hershel was doing. "c'mon' let's go" Daryl said standing up and grabbing my hand. "where are we going?" I asked following him "yer' gonna learn to shoot a crossbow." he said pulling me forward so I was walking with him. "ok" I laughed as we walked into the bush.

"alright it's simple, ye' know how to hold it and all," he asked and I nodded. Daryl handed me his crossbow and watched me try to figure out how to aim with it. "ok, close. put yer' leg back more." he smirked as he held in his laughter at how stupid I looked. "no, ye' still doing it wrong." he laughed threw his words. I smirked at how cute he was when he laughed. "here ill show ye'." he said as he walked up to me. "stand like this." he said molding his body around mine. I lined my stance up with his, and he put his big arms around my shoulder and showed me how to hold it. "there ye' go. now aim for that tree." he said pointing to a tree. I tried to pull the string back but it wouldn't move. "uhh, a little help here." I said still pulling on the string. "I was waiting for that," he smirked. he walked up to me once more and pulled the string back for me, also putting in an arrow.

I held the crossbow up to my shoulder, aimed it at the tree, and pulled the trigger. I flew into the tree, not exactly where I was aiming but it still went in. "damn, I suck." I laughed as I turned to look at Daryl who had a long-lasting smile on his face. I smiled back at him and that made him laugh "nah, yer' did good." he said walking up to the arrow. he pulled it out of the tree, his biceps bulging with that movement. I stared at his strong arms as he pulled them from the tree. "ye' like what ya' see or something?" he asked with a smirk on his face as he walked closer to me. I put my head down as my cheeks grew red with embarrassment. "it's ok, these guns could use a few fan girls." he said with a wink, flexing his arm. I laughed a bit and looked up to face him as he stepped closer to me.

he put his large hand on my neck and pulled my face up to his as he bent down to me. he was about to connect our lips when a walker came stumbling around the corner of a nearby tree, scaring the living days out of me. he sighed as he shot an arrow threw its skull, pulling it out. "so, why do ye' use a bow instead of a crossbow?" he asked as we walked back to camp. "ehh, I don't know. I guess because it was my brothers, and he taught me how to use it." I said as I looked at the bow on my shoulder. "I see, it is a nice one. and ye' got a good shot with it. he must be a good brother." he said with a smile. "yes he was." I said with i sigh thinking about him. "is." he corrected me. I nodded in response as we kept walking.

Daryl threw a string of squirrels we had shot other his shoulder. and we walked up to his tent. I sat down pulling my knife out, ready to help skin them. 'I got it, ye' go get sum' rest." he said setting the squirrels down. "no, daryl it ok. when is the last time you slept anyway?" I asked grabbing a squirrel. he just shrugged and sat down next to me, doing the same. we skinned the four squirrels we had shot and brought them to the others. I went back to Daryl's tent and started to pack up.

I didn't tell anyone but I was leaving. I knew Daryl would try to stop me, so I didn't even tell him. I debated on telling Maggi. she is always supportive of my choices, but I think even she would be unhappy with this one. but I couldn't let people get in the way of finding my brother. I hated the idea of leaving Daryl, but he would understand. He's my blood, my best friend, the last person who truly loves me. as much as I loved this group, Daryl, carol, and Maggi... I need to find max.
