It was quiet inside of Pirate's Cove. Foxy was in the midst of a deep slumber, resting on his twin-sized mattress that he was given so he wouldn't hurt his back on the wooden floorboards. Foxy's red, bushy tail curled around his lap, resting over his thigh and draping over the side of the mattress and onto the floor; poking out from underneath the blanket. Unfortunately for Foxy, his beauty sleep was interrupted by someone yanking open the curtains to his cove and reigning down the full force of the sun onto the sleeping vulpine. He groaned loudly, grabbing his slightly torn up pillow and slamming it down on his face in an attempt to shield himself from Sol's star. However, even covering his face with his feather-filled head cushion wasn't enough to satisfactorily block the light that bled through the pillow.
"Foxy, get up!" A voice called out to him from beyond his comfy shell of fabric, "Mmgghh... ten more minutes..." Foxy groaned loudly, digging his black claws into the pillow and pressing it harder on his face, like it would block more light if he did so. It didn't. "Foxy! You need to get up, the administrators are coming!" The voice begged him to get up, desperately attempting to persuade the drowsy fox. "Administrator... shministrator..." Foxy still showed no signs of wanting to cooperate, he was too tired. "But, Foxy... they're bringing in a new member!"
It took the vulpine a few seconds to process what was said. He shot up in his bed, pressing his hands onto the ground and pushing himself upwards, quickly turning to look at who he was talking to. Though, the sunlight blinded him temporarily, burning his retinas. "AGH—!! Ugh, wha-?" His eyes were still adjusting to the sudden change in brightness, the once blinding light of the sun slowly became less straining on his eyes and he was able to finally see. It was Chica, one of his good friends. "What do ye mean, new member?"
"You didn't hear? They're bringing someone new here to join us! Can you believe it?" Chica's smile was as bright as the sunlight that peered into the pizzeria. She just stared at Foxy, waiting for his reaction to the sudden news. Foxy was beyond confused, why would they need to bring in a new member? Everyone knew that the Fazbear crew consisted of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and himself! Who were they even going to bring in?
Foxy threw his blanket off of himself and slumped out of bed, rubbing his eyes with one hand. It took a little bit of effort to get up with his knees buckling as they struggled to hold his weight for a moment, but he kept his balance and stood up successfully. "Who are they bringin' in?" He asked Chica while tilting his head confusingly, "I'm not sure yet, but Freddy told me it was a girl!" The yellow chicken responded gleefully, her eyes glistening with nothing but pure happiness; it was almost like she didn't have a single thought behind those beady eyes of hers. "A girl?" Foxy rose a curious brow, tilting his head to the side even more similar to a confused dog. "Mhm! A girl! Doesn't that sound fun?" Chica jumped up and stretched her feathered-arms out up into the air, continuing to smile at the pirate vulpine. Her overtly positive attitude was a harsh constraint to Foxy's somewhat grumpy demeanor since he just woke up. "What does that even—fun? What?"
The red fox dragged himself out of his cove, letting out a soft yawn into the palm of his hand. "Where's your hook?" Chica asked him curiously, noticing that he was not using it. "I left it inside. Don't really need it right now, right?" Foxy waved his other hand around and then stuffed them both into the pockets in his brown pants. "I guess not. I'm just so used to seeing you wear it!" Chica smiled at him, putting her hands behind her back and clasping them together. The yellow chicken hummed to herself on the way there, not having a single care in the world. Eventually, the two made it to the main stage where Freddy and Bonnie could be seen sitting down and chatting.
Freddy looked over and with a big grin, he waved the two over to them. "Good morning, Foxy! Sleep well?" Freddy asked Foxy, who was clearly still waking up. "Mm... Hey, Freddy. I slept alright." Foxy groggily replied to Freddy, a couple tears still left on the corners of his eyes. "Not feeling very piratey today?" Bonnie asked, leaning back against the wall of the stage with his legs crisscrossed. He noticed that Foxy wasn't wearing his eyepatch, wearing his hook, or using his pirate accent. "It gets tiring doing a voice for so long. I mean, I'm not performing for another few hours, right?" While Foxy was Foxy the Pirate fox, he found it tiring to constantly talk with a rugged sailor voice the entire day, so, whenever he wasn't performing, he would talk normally. They are all actors after all, and Foxy is no exception.
