Foxy spent most of the day helping Freddy clean the pizzeria. The two of them picked up trash and mopped the floors along with replacing every single table cover. Chica and Bonnie also helped with cleaning by throwing away the leftover pizza and tidying up the kitchen for the next day. Mangle on the other hand, wasn't really doing much, she still continued to wander around the pizzeria and get to know her surroundings. "Oi, when does newbie get to do some things around here?" Foxy asked Freddy, resting his hands against the tip of the broom handle. "Hm? Oh—Mangle? Well, she's still new around here. She's still helping me with a few things; but I'm letting her explore more."
Foxy let out a soft sigh and rolled his eyes. "Wouldn't it be better if we had another hand helping around here?" Foxy gave a curious glance at Freddy, "Foxy," Freddy rested his hand on Foxy's shoulder, "Give her some time. She just got here." Foxy shrugged it off and leaned against a wall. "Alright, alright. I was just sayin'." Foxy looked off towards the party room and was met with a surprise. "Hey! How are you two doing?" It was her. Foxy nearly jumped out of his skin, "GOD—!! Mangle...?!" Foxy stared at her all wide-eyed. "Speak of the devil. Mangle!" Freddy smiled at her and set his broom down. "Are you starting to feel more comfortable and getting used to the pizzeria's layout?" Mangle nodded in response to Freddy, smiling brightly. "I am! I helped Bonnie with the fuse box earlier—didn't shock myself!" She giggled.
While the two continued to talk, Foxy would set his broom down and started walking away. "Foxy! Where are ya going?" Freddy called out to him, "Don't let me get in the way of your guys' conversation." Foxy mumbled to himself, walking away as far as he could until he eventually went into one of the vacant party rooms and sat down against the wall with his knees up to his chest. He exhaled through his nostrils frustratingly, he wasn't even sure why he was frustrated either. For some reason, any mention of Mangle has been igniting a fire in the bottom of his chest, a burning sensation that he can only compare to being angry. "Hey." A voice suddenly called out to him. It caused him to jump slightly and quickly look at who was talking to him. A blue bunny loomed over the seated fox, his large ears dangling down as he looked down at Foxy. "What are you doing here all by yourself? I mean, I'm not surprised, but what's up?"
"...Nothing." Foxy reluctantly answered, "Just... too loud in there." Bonnie looked at Foxy clearly unamused, "You're a really bad liar, Foxy." The bunny sat down next to the fox, determined to get to the bottom of Foxy's moody attitude. "I know something's wrong, you can te—" Before Bonnie could even try to convince Foxy, he was interrupted by him. "No, I'm not upset over Mangle being here! I don't care about her and that's that!" Looks like he gave it away anyways. Bonnie just looked at him really confused for a second, but then it clicked into place and he finally had an idea of what was going on. "Ohhhh... so... you like her? Am I getting this right?" Bonnie tilted his head curiously to the fox. Foxy's already red face got even redder when he said that, the look in his eyes was one Bonnie had never seen before, Foxy looked like Bonnie had just said the most offensive thing he could think of to him. "LIKE her?! Don't be ridiculous Bonnie! I just met her and barely know anything about her, and just because I was thinking about her a lot today doesn't mean I like her!"
Bonnie narrowed his eyelids and rose a brow. "I didn't say you were thinking about her..." Foxy snapped back, "Good! Because I wasn't!" Bonnie just rubbed his forehead slowly. "I thought you said you did today." Foxy was ready to yell his protests at Bonnie again, but then he realized he was right, he did tell him that. "U-uhhh... I mean... I just... talked to her, that was it." Foxy rubbed his arm anxiously and let out a frustrated huff. "...Fine, you wanna talk? I'm... confused." Foxy admitted to his bunny friend who was now paying close attention to the fox. "Go on..." He gestured for him to continue. "I.. I dunno, I feel the need to... run whenever she's near by, but when I run it's like... I'm expecting her to chase me and annoy me with questions? She doesn't even annoy me though, she's really sweet... ugh... I'm so done with this weird bullshit..." Foxy pinched the bridge of his snout and looked over at Bonnie. "Happy?"
"I'm not happy that you're suffering mentally, but I am glad you stopped being so stubborn for a second and actually talked to me about how you were feeling." Bonnie took a moment to collect his thoughts before speaking again. "You clearly have some troubled emotions going around that head of yours." Foxy rolled his eyes and glared daggers at Bonnie. "Really? Are you going to remind me my fur is red too?" Bonnie gave him no reaction and just stared at him, making the fox feel heavily uncomfortable. "..okay, fine. Sorry. I don't know what I'm feeling." Bonnie looked at him closer and put his hand on his shoulder. "I'm going to be honest Foxy, you either have a crush on her and don't know how to handle it or you really do dislike her for some reason." Foxy growled at the bunny and rolled his eyes in response. "Your first thought is that I have a crush on her? Really?" Bonnie shrugged, "You'd be surprised how similar you're acting compared to some of the characters I've seen in romance novels." Foxy glared at him once again, crossing his arms over his chest. "Of course you'd compare me to your stupid books."
Bonnie stood up and sighed, shaking his head slowly. "Just give it some thought, will you? If you're so confused about everything then how about you listen to someone else's opinion for once considering your own is no more better than nothing?" He turned away from the fox and spoke while facing away from him. "If you'll excuse me, I have to read more of my stupid books so we don't need to call the technicians over every time a light doesn't work." Bonnie walked away, leaving the red fox all by his lonesome. Foxy started to think about Bonnie's words more, wondering if there was indeed any truth to them. Sure it sounded corny with the whole romance novel character comparison, but... maybe it made sense? Foxy wouldn't know, he's never had any romantic feelings towards anyone and sure as hell never read any romance novels. The red vulpine felt something soft brush against his shoulder and glanced over his shoulder to see what it was, however upon realizing what it was, he nearly screamed. "Heya! You don't mind if I sit here, do you?" It was Mangle.
(WOOOOOOW! This one took a long time because of my terrible time management, I deeply apologize. I wrote this first half of this in March and then proceeded to not touch it until now, so if anything seems off about the writing in the beginning compared to the latter half, that's most likely why. Chapter 5 will come out.,. when it comes out! Again, sorry for the wait everyone. Look forward to the next chapter when it releases! If you have anything to say about the story so far type it in the comments and drop me a follow so you know when the next chapters come out! Love you guys, see you next time!)
