Secret Lover

Cassidy and her friends are walking to school in the morning, Mack walking a little closer to Cassidy then the rest.

"So, Valentine's Day is coming up soon, and I was wondering if you guys wanted to hang out together as a group, unless you guys have anyone special you'll be with?" Sam asks teasingly. Mack and Cassidy share a quick glance at each other before Mack decides to speak.

"Actually, I don't know Sam, I might be busy with family stuff since my mom's birthday is kinda close to Valentine's Day, sorry."

"No it's alright, I understand, what about you two? Are you guys down to hang on the day of love?" Sam asks, now looking at Cassidy and Brandon.

"Oh, umm, I can't. I'll be busy with family stuff too. I'm so sorry, maybe we can hang out after and we can all see a movie together?" Cassidy sincerely asks, as she reaches for the school doors. Cassidy holds the door open for her friends, goes in after them, and walks next to Mack.

"It's alright, I guess. I know you guys can't really control family stuff. Brandon, how about you?" Sam asks, sighing as they all walk down the hall to their lockers.

"Yeah, I'm free to hang anytime," Brandon says, as he grabs stuff out of his locker.

"Okay cool, at least I won't be alone, and I get to hang with my favorite bro," Sam says as they sling an arm around Brandon's shoulder. "I guess we'll see you guys later then, bye!" Sam adds walking away with Brandon as the bell rings throughout the school. Mack smiles at Cassidy and grabs her hand, as they both walk to their class.

"Soooo, now that they believe we'll be busy on Valentine's day, where do you want to go?" Cassidy asks Mack while they walk down the halls.

"Hmm, well maybe we could go on a little coffee date, then do something after"

"OH, you know what we could do?! We could go on a walk around the park after coffee!" Cassidy suggests, as she walks into their class with Mack following not too far behind.

"Actually, that sounds like a great idea. Alright so what time are we thinking here?" Mack asks, sitting down in her seat.

"Well, I was thinking we could go for the coffee date at around 11:30am, then we can walk to the park afterwards and just go on a little stroll for a bit" Cassidy suggests sitting down next to Mack.

"Alright, sounds like a plan!" Mack smiles at Cassidy as the final bell rings for class to start.

It's now Valentine's Day and Mack only has a few minutes before she should be picking up Cassidy for their date. She stops by the flower shop to pick up Cassidy's favorite flowers and walks the rest of the way to pick her up. Mack walks up to Cassidy's front door and knocks a few times before it opens.

"Mack, hey! You're here!" Cassidy says, stepping outside now.

"Yup! Ready to go?" Mack asks as she takes Cassidy's hand in hers.

"Mhm, let's go!" Cassidy says, excitedly walking off, practically dragging Mack.

"Hahahaha, alright." Mack laughs as she gets dragged by her excited girlfriend all the way to the coffee shop. Once they get to the shop, they order their coffees and some food and sit at a window booth across from each other. As they engage in small talk, neither of them notice Brandon approaching the shop to get a coffee before heading to Sam's house. As Brandon gets closer to the shop, he spots the two lovebirds through the window and immediately stops.

"Oh… well I guess I don't have a chance with Cass then," Brandon mumbles before turning back around and running away on the verge of tears.

Once Brandon gets to Sam's house, he walks in and goes straight to their room. Sam notices Brandon and can tell that something is wrong almost immediately. They get up and hug Brandon for a while until he stops crying.
