Insanity and Flashes of Limbo- Lizzy's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~At the Arena~
   I was jittery all day and unable to focus on any of my work. I was paranoid i suppose, i mean, I'm undefeated. Doesn't mean you can't be defeated Lizzy, i reminded myself.
The day passed in a blur of worry. Who would my opponent be? Did I really need the money?....Yes, rent was due in two days and i needed groceries...bad. I also needed to restock on protein powder for my shakes and Advil. All of these thoughts floated around in my head as I marched towards the arena.
Suddenly there was an announcement; "All fighters to the ring. I repeat, fighters to their ring."
I bit my lip and proceeded to put on my gloves over my wrapped hands as I walked out. My mouthgard felt heavy in my hand.
"ALRIGHT! YOU KNOW THE DRILL LADIES AND MOSTLY GENTLEMEN, EXCEPT THIS TIME THeRE WILL BE NO BELLS TO END THE MATCH! FAIR WARNING DON'T LET YOURSELF BE KNOCKED OUT AS THIS IS A FIGHT TO THE DEATH SURVIVAL MATCH. THERE WILL BE NO MERCY. NO PITY. AND NO TIME OUTS.
NOW INTRODUCING, FROM OUR HOME TOWN WEIGHING IN AT 120lbs IS THE ANGEL. OF. TORTURE! STANDING IN THE LEFT CORNER FROM OUT OF TOWN WEIGHING IN AT 180lbs IS THE. DARK. BEAST!
AND NOW WE WILL BEGIN THE FIRST ROUND........
BEGIN!!!" The announcer said in one of those tv voices. As i walked out to my corner I got a glimpse at my opponent from under my hood. He was cut. Pure muscle, no once of fat would dare touch his Adonis-like skin. Not only was he ripped but tall, which made him all the more menacing. He stood roughly, if i had to guess, at 6'4".
We put in our mouth guards and bumped fists, waiting for the ding to start the round after the announcer exited. There wouldn't be a ref to wait on....there were no rules but one....no weapons, and i really hope he abided by this rule.
