"You stupid bitch" I whimpered as he stalked towards me, I was now pressed against a wall no escape from the monster in front of me.
I was shaken awake
"Winter you okay?" Luka was holding my shoulders looking at me worriedly
"No" I whispered tears trickled down my face
"oh baby girl" he pulled me into his arms and rocked me back and forth, I untangled my arms and wound them around his neck, small hiccups burst through my trembling lips as I tried to stop crying like a baby.
"sorry all I seem to be doing these days is crying"
"everyone needs to cry sometimes" Luka wiped my cheek with his thumbs before kissing me softly
"thank you" I whispered
"for what" his eyes twinkled playfully
"for understanding, and being here for me".
After cleaning myself up we sat in the lounge cuddled up on the couch watching a movie, when we first walked down the stairs Marley started to yell at Luka but then she saw that I had been crying and started fussing over me getting me food and drinks, hugging me, it felt good having someone fussing over you, ever since my younger sister was born and passed away a few days later my parents don't spend more than a few days at the house.
We were half way through the avengers when someone knocked on the door, we ignored it thinking it was one of Marley's friends but no it had to be my overly loud obnoxious friends barging through the door with my brothers. Marley ran out of the kitchen to see what all the noise was
"Finn, Olly" she shrieked pulling them into her arms "look how big and handsome you two are" she smiled pinching their cheeks, I smirked
"yeah guys look how big and ugly you are"
"Winter" she scolded, walking out of the room
"what I'm telling the truth, I'm the only one that got the pretty genes" I pouted
"you wish jellyfish" they chorused pocking their tongues out
"Marley, they're being mean to me" I cried, she walked back and hit them upside the head before leaving again. The four of them all flopped down around us and watched the rest of the movie
"hey we should build a massive fort and have a sleepover with the rest of the guys" I cheered jumping up and spinning around to look at my friends
"let's do it" Olly clapped
"okay you three boys push all the furniture back and get the mattresses out, we'll get all the pillows and blankets from here and our place" I ordered before grabbing the girls hands and we ran out the door and down the street to my place. We stumbled back to Luka's house with blankets and pillows piled high in our arms and duped them in the hallway before going upstairs to get them from the lined closet Marley had showed us earlier, when we were finished we went back to the lounge to find the biggest fort I have ever seen
"this is so cool" I screamed dropping all the blankets and pillows on the floor,
"well it did take us twenty minutes" I jumped and spun around to find Luka smirking behind me, I smacked his shoulder
"don't scare me like that asshole" he chuckled
"are you going to put the stuff in it while we call the guys or what?"
"Oh yeah" Flora giggled running down the hall way to get some of the other stuff Rhi and I followed close behind. We laid out all the pillows and blankets on the mattresses under the make shit roof, then we laid down in a line listening to Jake Miller's new song 'Dazed and confused'
