Volley Town is an erratic island whose perils are marked by its equinox and most evidently, its summer solstice. During daytime, the ground surface of Volley Town inherently houses a volatile phenomenon that dissolves absolutely anything or anyone it makes contact with. Typically, this only comes off as a mere inconvenience to both outsiders and inhabitants, alike; so long as they keep a sturdy pair of boots on, and prevent their items from falling over whenever they step foot into the town's premises. The invention of hovering vehicles has also been a rather conducive counter against the island's corrosive nature. However, the arrival of summer is when things begin to heat up.. literally and figuratively. Given that there is a single day within the summer season that drastically prolongs the duration of daytime, what was once deemed a hassle by the townspeople will instantly convert into an actual threat that is both enhanced and lengthened. Hence why it is more often than not, that summer, despite of its bright display, is heralded by woes and misfortune, behind the walls of Volley Town.
