A NEW LIFE AHEAD

NADIA:

Running away from home or i can say hell gives me kind of relief, finally i feel safe from the fear of getting slapped or chocked to death, finally I can live on my own life - my way.

But i feel bad for Alex.

 Looking back at him, he was the only one who supported my dream and saved me from that monster, but if i would have stayed in that hell i know for sure that by the time i complete my graduation i would be married to a guy like him and bearing his child.

 I WAS NOT READY FOR THAT.

After a long drive of 5 hours. I reached my destination it was 8 in the morning, I pulled over stepping out of my car, yes my car i bought a second hand car, i worked at a small cafe in town and i saved every penny for buying a car for myself.

I had everything prepared before I ran, I was searching for a shelter.  Soon I found one,  affordable to my pocket. even i had changed my number so that my sick father won't ever reach me or know where I am. I called the landlord of the apartment I wished to shift inn soon. after 20 mins she was here.

Her name was Victoria. she was tall, red head and in her 40's, she was beautiful. 

"You must be Nadia" she asked forwarding her hand to me.

"Yes, nice to meet you." i said and we shake hands

" come up. let me give you a tour of this place." I followed her and she open the door, it had 2 bedrooms, a small kitchen, living room and a small balcony which will only fit 2. the place stinks, it was all cover in dust, i will have to do a lot of work to make it look like home. 

"so, what do you think about the place?" Victoria asked.

"its good." I replied with a smile.

"so are you going to shift?" she asked me again.

"yes, infact I'll shift here today"i replied.

"good then should we discuss the paperwork and rent?" Victoria asked and i nodded.

we stepped out of the house locking it again and walked to a cafe which was just about 5 min away from the place. we ordered coffee and discussed the details.

I brought my bag in front of the door unlocked it and entered. i was relaxed that the house was furnished at least I wont have to spend money on that stuff except for new mattress, pillows and covers. first I dusted the wardrobe and settled my clothes in there, moving towards the bed I removed the old mattress and covers and cleaned the room. I got to the nearest mall and got myself a new mattress, pillow and covers. 

it was almost getting dark I looked up at my phone and it was 6.50 pm.

I skipped my lunch but now my stomach was grumbling loud, I  went up to the cafe again and ordered a sandwich. the one thing I noticed since I visited this cafe was that, it was mostly crowded and there were less people working around the tables. after my eating up the sandwich I walked to the counter the owner was standing right there I paid my bill and taking the opportunity I asked him

"do you need any helper by chance?"he looked at me more like observed me form my head to toe

"I haven't seen you here before"he said counting the money i payed,

"I shifted here today in the morning. and to be more clear I'm looking for a job, I have worked in a cafe before so you won't have to teach me"I said to impress him.

"yeah I do need more helpers, but you must know I want you to be here on time if you take up this job and if you be late I will cut-off half of your pay for the day, so do u agree?"

I was sure about that I won't be late and also I needed a job "Yes, I agree".

"okay then u will be paid 23,800 RUB per month, and you can take a day off on Saturdays and Thursdays, and you will join the cafe from tomorrow, is that okay?"

"sure, I wont disappoint you." I said and smiled.

"you better don't"he smiled too and I left the cafe going back to the house and to the room I threw myself on the bed in hope that I don't regret my decision. and soon I drifted to sleep
