Matriarchy = Patriarchy

The end of the 1970s era judged the patriarchy on the grounds of all the sufferings of women whether in terms of violence, illiteracy, or the continuous consumption of female resources achieved as gifts during the time of marriage. There is nothing to blame the male community alone for the backward scenario of women, but the women are also totally responsible for tolerating it silently which pushed up in setting this kind of culture. The lineage we are taught of always arises multiple questions together, the increased hierarchy in the education level coming up in the form of rivalry which continuously challenges such measures and demands necessary changes.

The evolvement of matriarchal families is coming up to head with the patriarchy or can be called a dominating system being present in our society. Patriarchy in a simple language means a family where a man rules and when a woman heads the family directs to the term matriarchy. The relationship or the bond may be matriarchy or patriarchy depending upon the dynamics of the concerned couple. It is believed that only a percentage of the economy exists where both are the boss.

There is no doubt that our Indian nation is filled with colourful mixture of religions and traditions. The rule of father or a patriarchal society is evident in history as well. For instance, the Khasi group of Meghalaya (Northeast India) shows the existence – rule of women or matriarchy system. They demand daughters despite sons for the continuation of their clans. Every decision rests in the hands of women and It clearly shows an opposite play of powers.

Saying that motherhood is the only duty of woman and earning of income relies upon man will be a foolish thought contradicting to the norms and values achieved through the teachings. The children are brought up morally, emotionally, mentally, and physically strong by both the parents together according to the data. It does not even depend on gender alone; the human values always give a lift for the betterment in society.

Today's time is watching positive perspectives where women are not only leading their family but can be seen in every field consisting of business, politics, sports, acting and It is the same in the case of men too. When we look at the workplaces/jobs scenario, It has been developed to involve both male and female in the sector together and abolished the so-called term of 'patriarchal society' given to it. Now, men and women are taking decisions and making their roles stronger together in the way of twisting the norms of society.

We neither portray women are strong than men nor men are strong than women, both are equally stabilized at the same level. Then titling of patriarchy or matriarchy is just related to the beliefs or the thoughts of individuals or groups in the community. To establish a stronger connection, It depends on us for creating a society that is supportive of the growth and flourishing of all its members.
